Bio and Links
Bio Photo In the early 1980's, I curiously began searching for my ancestors. It has gone from curiosity to a passion all consuming. There is always something new to discover!! I owe it all to my BFF, Geneva!!
For those of you who sit in front of a cemetery book or a newspaper obituary column copying deaths into a cemetery, I truly feel sorry for you. For those of you who complain about those of us who have "Unknown Burials". I believe the name of this program is "Find A Grave". The hopes of family researchers is that some one some where will FIND our lost ancestor and may even find a tombstone of that loved one. As for me, I am so proud that this site has come about where I can share my family with others and hopefully find long lost family that I would never have found otherwise. Thank you, FindAGrave.
If you come across someone I have entered in a cemetery that is your ancestor and you have pictures or a bio you would like to add, OR you would like a transfer, don't hesitate to contact me through the EDIT button.
Please be advised that links and other data on memorials [other than those for my immediate family members] more often than not come from other Find A Grave members and/or guests and/or from Ancestry. I no longer verify the information before making the links.
Please double check & verify all information before taking what you read as gospel.
PLEASE-NO death certificates on memorials I have created or manage!! Personal information should be kept personal.
VOLUNTEER PHOTOGRAPHERS: I appreciate your enthusiasm in taking tombstone pictures in cemeteries, BUT I do not appreciate additional tombstone photos on memorials when there is already a clear tombstone picture for that memorial.
FAMILY PHOTOS: I invite you to enjoy the family pictures posted, but ask that they not be copied and placed on any other website.

Henry Beason Hester photo
I saw you had requested a photo of Henry Beason Hester's headstone (#57708487). I just posted one today. Thought you might like to know. Sherry

RE: Transfer
I will send you a picture I took of the stone next to James B. Darnell. It is hand sketched and very difficult to read. The only thing I could kind of make out was that it appeared to say Hardy. There wasn't enough information on the stone or the name Hardy in either survey that has been made of Wallace Creek for me to know who it was or that it was for sure Hardy. Since you mentioned that Francis Barnett Darnell may have married a Hardy and this stone is in the row with the Darnell's perhaps this is her.

RE: Tombstone photo
You are welcome! Due to the information you provided we were able to find the headstone hidden under an overgrown cedar tree (which is why the lighting and angle of the picture is not the best). We also found her daughter and son-in-law right next to her headstone and they were also difficult to read due to the overgrowth.

I will be glad to transfer their memorials to you if you are interested. Just send me your find a grave id number and I will make the transfer.

Thanks for looking for the headstones. I don't know where I got the info for the memorial. More than likely, it was from a website listing of burials. I can delete it.

RE: Photos
Yes it has been a while. This past winter was brutal on me. I am on a blood thinner, so hunting graves was out of the question. Plus I never thought it would end. Any way it was my pleasure; however I wasn't in Somerset City Cemetery. It is only 8 miles from me but in a different zip code to the south. Yet Find A Grave sends me grave requests a couple of zip codes away to the west and north. I will be in Florida for a month hunting some graves.

I'm not sure this is a marked grave. There are many unmarked here, which is a shame. The cem is not that large and the wife and I walked it pretty well looking for all the photo request. We only found 2.
