|FCBrooks2||Mary Maude Ivey's memorial|
Thank you for your help and input on establishing this memorial. The memorial has been corrected and your comments added. Thank you again! Merry Christmas! :)
|Darleen Miller||Thelma Lawrence|
Thank you for the info for this memorial. And thanks for adding the death cert. I was able to add more info for her from that source. If she belongs to your family, please let me know and I'll transfer to you.
|Mary Enzor Smith||Amelia Beach Hudson|
Thanks for adding the obituary to Amelia's memorial. A obituary is so helpful when one is researching their family.
|Kathleen Aderhold||John Nathaniel Holder. # 114137571|
Thank you for posting the obituary for John Nathaniel Holder - in Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson, GA. I have looked and looked for that. He is a legend in the family. Thank you soooo much.
|Judy K. Brantley/Wilson||Harrison Richard Hannah - ID# 15676083|
Joy, I am helping a long time friend do her genealogy and one of her direct lines is Hannah. Are you kin to these folks? If so, then you are kin to her. I spent a few hours at her house last night, setting up her tree and adding names for her. I noticed that you took over the above page from Bud (another of my helpers), so didn't know if you were kin or not. Let me know, ok?
|Linda Davis||RE: Martha Yancy|
William R Hunt b. 1850 is the direct line to Uncle Mack (uncle by marriage).
Robert Hunt is Wm R's younger brother.
I am out there on a far branch of the Hunt line from me and my Aunt Nellie Thompson Hunt. Only Aunt Nellie's 78-year-old daughter-in-law is living...she does well when I give her clues, but has blanks when asked direct questions about the Hunt line.
Robert and Wm R both buried in Chestnut Grove Cemtery.
Robert married Savangie Yancey. Her memorial states that her parents were Emily and Jake Yancey. Jake, of course, could be James or John.
|Emery 1959||Clara Harrison|
I took the pictures of Clara and D. W. Harrison's headstones approximately 1 year ago while attending a Harrison family reunion. I find it odd that I would have mislabeled the cemetery. Do you live in the area? If so, can you stop by the cemetery? The article mentions the "service", not burial, so maybe the service was held a one church and she was buried next to her husband at another church cemetery. Thanks.
|Linda Davis||RE: Oscar Yancy|
Thank you for the linking of the family members.
Oscar Yancy's brothers spelled their name as "Yancey" as did his father.
My mother's sister was married to Mack Hunt and I decided to do that branch for the only living elderly cousin. They married into the Yancy family a couple of times.
|Laura Vinson Northrop||RE: Lada Hooks Freeman Asbell|
I can't make an exact identification because the photo is just labeled Miss Lada. But since Lada is not a common name and Gertrude was born in the 1870's I figured they were either neighbors or schoolmates in Irwinton, GA. You can let me know if my hunch is wrong. How should I send the photo to you?
|Laura Vinson Northrop||Lada Hooks Freeman Asbell|
I have an old scrapbook compiled by Gertrude Williford Spear and she was good friends with Lada. Do you have a photo of Lada? I have one taken about 1900 with Gertrude. If you are interested I will scan it.
