I am an avid searcher. I have enjoyed many walks through cemeteries with my camera in hand. Now I need oxygen 24/7 which makes travel a little more difficult. I do take binoculars with me to cemeteries that I visit. I am so thankful for my husband who assists me whenever I travel. He makes cemetery visits possible for me.|
Please do not add Death Certificates to the memorials I have placed on Find A Grave. Thank you in advance.
When you find errors, please e-mail me. I will do my best to correct them.

Yes, there is a sign in front that says" Farris Chapel Community Cemetery". When I went to enter the people I took photos of there, I almost created a new cemetery. Than I saw Hanley Cemetery and the map attached to Hanley showed that Hanley was the same location. So I thought that Hanley was an alternate name. I have found some of these little cemeteries don't have formal names and are sometimes called by several names. I did take a photo of the sign, I will send it to you. The sign was kinda beat up looking and I was not sure if I should try to put it on the cemetery page. Maybe your photo is better.
I have found a number of people in the wrong cemeteries in Farris Chapel. I photographed all of Farris Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery and Green Cemetery. I found quite a few people entered at the church, that are at Green and Farris Chapel Community. I think when people are entered using info off of death certificates they don't always get the correct cemetery. I have found a lot of death certificates have Farris Chapel as place of burial. Meaning the Farris Chapel area and not a specific cemetery.
I would be nice to get it corrected.

Hello! My name is Brooke Caputo and I am a student at Motlow State Community College. I was looking at the website "www.findagrave.com" and they mentioned this was a way I could contact you. My English classmates and I had recently gone to Shofner's Lutheran Churhch Cemetery on September, 4th. Our assignment is to construct a research paper based on the history of the church/people who are buried here. We had taken some pictures of these beautiful, timeless graves, and had to research information on them. I had come across Mabel Stephens Brinkley (Nov. 25th,1901- May 3rd, 2000)'s grave stone, had gone on www.findagrave.com website, and researched some information on it. I also came across her son, Bryce Milton Brinkley (1928-2014), whom I found a little more information on. The whole reason as to why I'm messaging you is to ask for a few minutes of your time to reply back to me with any information you could give me on these two or their family history. I am interested in getting to know a little more information on the history of this family and maybe even the cemetery itself! Any information will help me greatly, also this counts as a 'interview' that would count towards my paper!
Sincerely, Brooke Caputo.

(family of Wallace & Elizabeth Buchanan)
I am a granddaughter of Wallace & Elizabeth Buchanan (brother & sister-in-law of Doug Buchanan, Sr, buried at Concord Cemetery in Tullahoma).
I noticed that you are the manager/creator of his listing, and was hoping that you would transfer the management to me and my family. My sisters and I are trying to compile info on all of our relatives, and it would be wonderful to have all that information in one account.
Thanks so much and have a blessed day!

Hi Mrs Swann,
I'm a granddaughter of Bernie E. Evans and Olive M. Evans. They are at Bomar Cemetery in the Raus community. I noticed that you are the manager of their listings on Find-a-Grave, and I would like to have them transferred to me if at all possible. My sisters and I are wanting to work on all of our family memorials and it would be wonderful if we could have them kept all together under one account.
Thanks so much and God Bless!

You may be right about the dual cemetery names. I try to use the cemetery that has a designated cemetery sign.
The Thompson Cemetery has a completely different geographical location than McQuiddy Cemetery.
They probably got their information from here, http://www.interment.net/data/us/tn/bedford/thompson/thompson.htm
