I am a Cornwell. My Cornwells came to VA in the 1600's and then immigrated through OH and on into IL. My dad and I have been researching the Cornwell family for well over 20 years. Rather than focus solely on my line, I have had an interest in all people with the Cornwell name--trying to link them all together.|
I also have a particular interest in the burials of Clark County, IL, where much of my family resides. Please send any additions and corrections to my memorials using the edit tab on the top right corner of the memorial page to make it easier for me to make the proper corrections.

Hi Cindy, I have added Mary's father's name as you suggested. Thank you for your input.

Hi Cindy, I accepted your suggested edits and transferred him to you. He may have living relatives in the area who remember him because those flowers were there when I took the photo. Regards, Charlie

You're more than welcome. I was afraid I would never find this cemetery because of the vague description of it's location. I lucked out and found a landowner nearby that took me to the general area and with a little hiking around we found it. I love to find these old, forgotten or neglected cemeteries.
Keep up the good work.
It's memorial #45306061. His name is William Burnsides. He's buried in the Bluegrass Cemetery in Clark County, Illinois.He's my 3 great grandfather.

I don't think Della Maria Burnsides is William Burnsides daughter. He died in 1869 & his wife died in 1880. Della Maria was born in 1883. She might be a granddaughter but not his daughter.

LIKE ON THE GRAVEYARD WHERE YOU HAVE TAKEN THE PHOTO. I CAN PUT A PICTURE ON A SIGHT FOR MY FAMILY BUT WAS NOT SURE HOW TO DO IT FOR PEOPLE THAT WANTED THE PHOTO TAKEN.
|Margaret Ely Rule||RE: GRAVE PHOTO|
yes that helped. also I want to get stones for people that request someone to take a photo for them . do I have to claim the photo first? I have taken request photos, like in Brandenburg Ky, but after I take them I do not know how to get them to the person that requested them. I like to do requests but not sure what to do with them after I get them. I hope this makes sense. thank you for your help margaret
|Robert Johnson||Harriet Brinkerhoff Borton|
I am descended from the Bortons and Clarks of Edgar county (see Borton, Illinois and Embarrass Cemetery) I am curious re Harriet Brinkerhoff Borton and to this point I cannot make the family connection. I was hoping you may have some thoughts on the matter.
Thank you in advance for help light you may be able to shed on this.

I' m not sure if you got my other email Cindy but I descend from Michael Burkett, son of Israel. I notice that you have Israel as being born in Stuttgart and I was wondering if this is a fact? I was in Germany 3 years ago and I was very close in my search as I was in Ulm. Thinking how close I came but not close enough, right? You have been so helpful to all of us researching Israel and family and it always been my search to find where he was born. His village, his people. I would love to know so much more about him and why he came to the states, so early. 1751! Would you share anything you have with me?
