I am the secretary/treasurer for the Scrubgrass Presbyterian Cemetery (also known as the Scrubgrass Stone Church Cemetery). Several years ago the president of the cemetery association passed away and I inherited his job as sexton. |
I worked for several months last winter placing all Scrubgrass Cemetery burial permits on the computer. These dated back to the early 1900's. Now when fellow genealogy folks call, I have the information at my fingertips.
I am the behind the scenes photograher for about 1,000 photos taken in the Scrubgrass Cemetery posted on Find a Grave by my friend, Jo.
I am currently in the process of listing all lot numbers, their original owners and the names of each person along with grave number buried on this lot. While doing this, I am also updating Find a Grave with the lot number, section number and grave number.
This is a wonderful site and those that do the research for each memorial need to be commended. Because of their endless work, we have history at our fingertips. My part is small but I enjoy it and I love helping people envolved in genealogy.

Thanks so much for the information update on William T. Campbell's memorial. I've made the updates you recommended.
|Carl and Judi||RE: Simcox's at McKee|
Thanks so very much for keeping the Simcox family in mind as you photograph local cemeteries and letting me know of Laura's gravesite! Yes, she was the oldest of the family's nine children. Amazingly, they're all on FindAGrave. I've often found that with large families there will be at least a couple members can't be found anywhere.
|Nancy Byers Romig||Margaret Blair|
1870-1914 - according to Butler Cemetery book. Wife of Marion Edward Blair. I have Sharp and also Shoup. They are in 1900 census but in 1910 he is married to Gertrude Blair. What happened to Margaret and what are the dates on the tombstone. I can't read them. Do I need to make corrections to web site? Nancy
|Jack Gilchrist||Robert Atwell Photo - Thanks|
Thank you for the fine photo of Robert and Elizabeth taken in the Cross Cemetery in Clintonville, Venango Co., PA. Your efforts on behalf of these relative are most appreciated.
|Clinton Rodgers||William Fogle|
Thank you for the photo of Wm. Fogle's stone.
|Kathleen L Hoffman Potter||Walter Phipps|
Yep thanks. Fixed it. All 3 of those kids died in 1851. Must have been a plague in Clintonville..
|Kathleen L Hoffman Potter||Sam Riddle|
I don't think this Sam Riddle was involved in the War of 1812. He wasn't born until 1822 and the War of 1812 Pension records show a Sam Riddle serving from 1-1-1814 to 2-13-14. Do you have something that says otherwise?
|Nancy Byers Romig||RE: George W. Brock|
Susan, I have Lewis G. Lippincotts parents as Eli S. Lippincott and Sarah Brock so that would be the clue. I haven't followed it further. Nancy
