Bio and Links
Bio Photo I volunteer as a Board of Directors member and Archivist for the Pennington Research Association. Right now I volunteer as the Pennington Pedigrees Editor. I am involved in much Pennington activity whether they are my direct line or not. Our family is officially Group 6 of this wonderful genealogy site.

I also serve as a Board of Director for the Eureka Historical Society and try to stay involved in my local community.

I've entered various kinds of cemetery records here at

1) My own family members, if I know what cemetery they have been buried.

2) Photographed many, many cemeteries in the Readington Twp., Hunterdon Co., NJ area.

3) Various cemetery records that I have access to books for all US States.

4) I am just about finished with photographing the cemetery in Wanette, Oklahoma. There are about 10% unphotographed and have to figure out which section that I missed. This is my hometown cemetery so its especially dear to me.

5) Starting to photograph more cemeteries in the Eureka, St. Louis Co., MO area...but I've been slow at this. The Franklin Co., MO Cemetery Society pretty much has this area covered. Their contact information is

I have an interest in all tombstones of service men and women. Especially the ones that mention the Revolutionary and Civil War.

I research many surnames, such as: Adkins, Akins, Armitage, Cullins, Elms, Harding, Kirkpatrick, Pennington, Pitts, Redford, Thomas, Whiteaker, Woodrome/Woodrum, Wilson, etc.

If you find any errors or would like to have additional information posted to any records that I have added, please contact me and I'll make those changes for you.

I have no problem with transferring ownership of a memorial that I have created. Just ask and it is yours.

You have my permission to use any of the photographs that I take for your genealogy family history. No need to ask, this statement is all that you need. If you list me as the source for the photo, just source me as Mindy.

The picture of the above statue is from a tombstone that I photographed at Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, Hunterdon Co., NJ of a little boy. The children's graves are the ones that makes me the most sad.

Lucy J. Pitts # 103761893
Would you please go to Find A Grave Memorial# 103761893 and remove the newspaper obituary photos. There are 2 of the same thing.
I would like to add some old photos to this memorial so could use the space for the photos.
I am going to type the info from the newspaper obit and add to the memorial.

I would really appreciate it if you would remove it.

Thanks so much,

Thanks for the transcriptions
I've been photographing and adding to the records for Newell Cemetery in Stanton, NJ. Just wanted you to know that I was so appreciative that you had been there first. Reading the old gravestones is very hard if you've got nothing else to go on. It was much easier to match the old gravestones to records that you had already transcribed into Find A Grave. Your work greatly contributed to the identification of the pictures of the gravestones.

I'm local in the area and would like to learn more about your activities. I'm new to geneology and this site and would like to learn more.

Thanks for the info regarding the duplicate of Belle M. Ellis. I have posted the marker pic on Ida Belle's memorial page and will delete mine.

Regarding Request of removal of Memorial # 40723287
I prefer not to place my photo [memorial # 40723287] on memorial 7073719. I have never found any record where the given name of the Smith married to Benjamin Goff was Lydia Ann. In all the records I have researched, she was listed as Eda, Edith, or Edy. In fact her given name appears as Eda on her gravestone. As there is no way to search for an alternate name [that I know of on this site], anyone looking for Eda Smith Goff would have difficulty locating her unless they knew she was listed by some researchers as Lydia Ann Smith Goff. Eda A. Smith and Lydia Ann Smith were cousins who both married Goff cousins. To add to the confusion, both Smith-Goff families resided in the same county and were contemporaries. If my memorial is creating problems, I will gladly remove it, including the photo, and unlink it from her husband's memorial that I created.
