I live in Desoto Parish, Louisiana and try to fulfill photo request in nearby counties (Texas) or parishes. I'm sure my wife thinks I'm nuts but I enjoy walking cemeteries looking to fulfill photo requests. I just enjoy helping people any way I can. If you need to use one of my pictures, go ahead just please give me credit.|

Thanks Steve, I guess just keep trying and keep us in mind when you are looking...I do not know who is behind the Powell private cemetery so I wouldn't even know who to tell you to ask for access. The only thing I can think of is to walk up to the house and ask? But I don't know because I wasn't southern born and raised meaning I do not know if that would be a polite thing to do or not??? I do know that the All Saints Episcopal Cemetery is only open on All Saints day, that is what I was told by someone who does go by there often. Hum just do not know what to say about this. Wish when a cemetery was done that they would keep it open to the public and not lock it up all the time. Here they are open from dusk to dawn and never closed on holidays at all.
Thanks Steve, hope we are able to score soon..

I have noticed that you have done a lot of photography in the Powell cemetery. Have you ever found a stone with Eudora Powell on it? Eudora Williamson Powell is not the one that I am talking about and I know that she is there. Eudora was born in 1859 d. 1888. I know that this is a private cemetery and that it is hard to get in there to photograph the stones but I would greatly appreciate it if you have any pictures of this particular stone or not. One other thing as well since you do De Soto Parish, LA do you have any pictures of the headstones in the All Saints Episcopal Church Cemetery? I know it is defunct and is owned by someone. But I am hoping that you might be able to gain access to it so that the loved ones there can find their grave stone pictures on findagrave soon. I think it is the Marshall family that now owns that. But some of the McMullen family is there and the ones that I know for sure that are there are: Dempsey, Harriett and Mary, Elizabeth (wife of Joe). I understand that they open the gates on All Saints day but who in their right mind would bee there in winter? And trying to clean off the stones etc? I would greatly appreciate it if you could check into this for me a little more? Thanks so much.

Thank you for taking and posting a photo of Helen's gravestone. Without folks like you who give of themselves to help us who live so far away, we would be helpless to seek and find our loved ones. Thanks for giving so much to others. Ina
Thank you for the headstone photo for D. P. and Elizabeth Morris....
