Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am married I have three children and one grandchild:I am the baby girl of eight children born to Ellis and Maxine Slavens Woods. While growing up family history was never spoken about. I never had the privilege of knowing my grandparents so it made me have a desire to know where I came from. My research started my senior year of high school when a secretary in the school gave me four family group sheet telling me to document as much history from family members as possible. I still have those pages after all these years. One of my main goals at the time was to find family who might have a picture of my grandfather James Jarrett Woods. I still have not found a picture but the many lines that I have connected and the family and distant cousins I have meet along the way has been priceless. I would like to thank those who have been so gracious to help me along my journey. ----------------My ancestors on my fathers Line is Woods, Davis, Bolinger, Hayes, Newberry, Terry, Newport My ancestors on my mothers line are Slavens, Ussery, Morrison, Taylor, Moore, Edwards, Holts, Campbell, Young, Ford, White, From my 1st marriage into Mashburn family and my oldest daughters lineage is Mashburn, Jay, Nutt, Landers and Mason , Robbirds- Robirds, Roberts , Ford, Friend, My sister marrried a Stockstill and Stockstill ties into my daughters heritage also. My oldest daughters heritage is just important to me as my other children. I may not be married into the family anymore but she is still a part of it, Sad that a family member of this line has forgotten. I will pass my daughters heritage to her some day. My 2nd husband's lineage is Montgomery, Chandler and Smith ================Remember.........That which you share, multiplies and divides. That which you withhold, diminishes and dies. W. Clement Stone-----------Do your best to share your time, your knowledge, your pictures, your entries. Hoarding names helps no one and they remain basically a naked name with hopefully some part of a date - nothing else ____________There are many other names that I have researched and connected on FAG that are limbs off of my main line. All are family to me. -----Romans 2:1-3You, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Isaac Wood - Illinois Chapel Cemetery
I am curious where you got the information that Isaac Wood was in the Illinois Chapel Cemetery. If I understand correctly, there isn't an actual grave because of the later road? Would they not have reburied any remains and relocated a stone? I have wanted to see if there were church records on the interred as I know there are quite a few unmarked graves. Wonder if Mr. Wood is one of them? Did you get your info from the church, obituaries, or local funeral homes? My Great and Great-Greatgrandparents are in this cemetery and fortunately are marked but I still wonder who the unmarked ones are. Clement and Hollabagh are my ancestors. I have been doing research for several years and new tips are always welcome if you are willing to share as I am.

Entered wrong # for Father
Peggy,

I have entered the wrong Father # on entries and deleted most of them. Now do I have to wait for the reviews or can these be corrected sooner.

Marilyn

You have done a wonderful job with so many of my families!

RE: Margaret Marie Mullins
You're quite welcome, Peggy. I am more than happy to help.

Are you related to Margaret? I was surprised to see her name because most of the Mullins I look up are in the Haskell Cemetery. I have a huge book of my Dad's ancestors, going back many, many years. His sisters put it together for a family reunion, and I find it intriguing.
