Michael McDonald
RE: Newton Jasper McDonald
I would be thankful for anything you can share on this line. We have been in search for years as to trying to find out who would actually be the father of Newton Jasper McDonald. I have found reference to a Linneberry McDaniel but I am still unsure if this would be correct. I know the location of Grandmother Louisa Covington's burial along with her parents and such. But with over ten years of searching I've not had much luck with it. I have some of the lines connected on the Covingtons and their marriages but it seems that they just seem to vanish. My regular email address is mcdonald@intrstar.net,and again I will share what knowledge I have on anything you may be interested in.

Thanks,
Michael McDonald

Newton Jasper McDonald
I would be interested if you are researching the Covington line that would connect back from NJ McDonald also. His mother was a Covington also before marriage. Would love to see if we may have any connections with this line.

With sincere thanks in advance,
Michael McDonald Grandson of Newton Jasper McDonald

Bounds Family Eastren Shore Maryland
You know your branch of the family may come from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. A couple came over and some went to N.C. or S.C. They are in the book,"The Boundless Bounds Family".A John Bounds came to VA. as a carpenter in the 1600's in 1640 a John Bounds moved to the Eastern Shore of MD and became a planter.
If your interested in genealogy this may help you if you don't have the information. Beverly Bounds Davis

Bounds
Sotty, this maybe rude but are you a member of the Bounds Family?
Being a Bounds on both my maternal and paternal sides,I have had my name spelled all the different ways other people spell it.
I am collecting as much information as I can on the Bounds family on the Western Shore of Maryland. Almost all are turning out to be related, I'm almost ready to say all are related.
John Bounds 1821 -1862 is my gr.grandfather's older brother s/o Rezin Forrest Bounds and Sarah Hood.
I like your candle better then the flowers.

James Kerr dates
I'm confused on the monument at Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Ft. Defiance, Augusta County, VA. The stone (put up recently) says he was born in 1725, and I assume this refers to James Kerr Sr? Then in your bio you say his son James Kerr Jr. was born in 1734. Seriously, when his father nine years old? I'm trying to determine to which James Kerr and which stone the Rev War service belongs. It would be more likely for the younger James Kerr born 1734, especially if he was everywhere your bio says he was. Please help. This is for a book being prepared for the VA SAR on RW people buried in Virginia

RE: John Washington Lindley
Thanks Cindy,
John Washington Lindley is my great-great grandfather, and I've been studying the family tree for several decades now. My grand father got me started & I've been hooked since.
