I am a direct descendant of the Richard Haines who left England aboard the ship "Amity" in 1682. He died on the ship and his wife and kids settled in NJ. Richard was my 6th Great Grandfather. There are a lot of Haines in the US from this Richard. Nathan Haines of OH was my Gr Grandfather. Ebenezer Haines who married Rebecca Berry was his father. Nathan Haines married Sarah Iiams in Grant Co., IN. I have also done a lot of research on the Iiams name. My Grandfather E. Morton Haines was born in Grant Co., IN in 1865 and moved to OR in 1892 where he lived out his life. I have a lot of family connections to Grant Co., IN.

No thank you, Nathan. There are no memorials to my knowledge, that I want at this time.

Dear Nathan: Along with grave marker and lot shot photographs, I also will take GPS coordinates for you and submit edits for those. I will be happy to email you their photographs once I have taken them, which will be soon. Kind regards, Bridey Light

I am related to Lyle's first wife Barbara June Anderson. She is my 2nd cousin 1 time removed. She and her second husband lived near me here in Washington State. I really appreciate your help with the photo of his grave stone.

Thank you for the great photos! They mean so much. Carol:)
No I do not live in Ohio anymore, but parents still do. I went to the cemetery because my great grandparents are buried there and their house is next to the old Meeting house. Great grandfather was, coincidentally, the sextant and dug the graves for both of the Friends meetings who used the cemetery (not sure when the schism occurred). I did not have a lot of time there, I stopped for an hour or so on my way back (day trip) but I took some headstone shots of names I recognized and were near by my gggrandparents'. Then I saw these tablets of headstones which had been destroyed in flood or some such, or just had not been permanent. The Friends had kept records of all the burials, and so they made these memorial tablets for all of the headstones that they had had in their records. If Chalkey were a Friend, I suspect he would have been listed. I dont think at first the cemetery would have had non-friends. It is still an active Friends Meeting, you could perhaps contact them and see what they might have on Chalkey. Good Luck. There is an ancestor of Richard Nixon's buried there, plus some of John Brown's family. It seems that many families came up from the South to escape the slavery issues, some stayed but many moved on to the western regions, to settle states where slavery had not been resolved yet and they could get farms.

Hi Nathan, I added the bio to Robert's memorial. His wife Joanna Harris Haines is my great grand aunt. I would be happy to transfer his memorial to you if you would like.

Thank you so much for going out to the cemetery and taking a picture of Lyle V Tunison's gravestone. It is a big help to have the photo for my project. I am collecting as much as I can find on my relatives with military service. Lyle was the husband of one of my cousins. The picture of the stone fills in a gap in what I had on Lyle.
Thanks again for your effort.
