Hi, my names Michelle. I'm a retired Army medic that took up photography as a hobby about 5 years ago. |
One of my favorite subjects to shoot are graveyards and cemeteries. I find them beautiful and peaceful. No one's memory should fade just because their headstone does.
I'm willing and happy to do photography in the Lexington, KY region. Don't fail to ask because you think it may be too far.
If I've added someone that is not my relative I'll happily update or transfer the memorial over to you. I do this to honor the deceased and their families. If there are any misprints or incomplete information, send me a message from their memorial and I'll update it.
Feel free to use my photos for your research, family trees and such. There's no need to ask permission.
I borrowed this quote from a F.A.G'er in North Carolina. It really puts things in perspective.
"If you wonder about your 'roots' you have two parents, four grandparents eight great-grandparents and 16 great-great-grandparents, and by the time you go back 10 generations 300 years or so- you had 1,024 people from whom you are directly descended." --Mady Castro
Gravestones fade and disappear. A photograph can last forever.
Everyone deserves a flower¸.•*` Ƹ̴Ӂ̴Ʒ

Thank you so much! This goes to confirm that the family is at rest out there and my findings of hard financial times explain the unmarked grave.
Of course this opens up more questions on names; the records you spoke up are not digitized I assume?
If so that just means more coupons savings to the cookie jar for a trip to KY =)
Thank you sincerely,

Cordie and Cora Laffoon are my divorced grandprents. Cordie is at Suthards and Cora is at New Suthards next to Wayne. Cemeteries are about 2 miles apart Hope this helps.

No problem. Wayne was my moms brother. I see your a cousin. How so? Wayne was at Pearl harbor on Dec 7 '41. In hospital with ulcer problem. He was able to help with wounded. He died from renal failure at age 42.

Mady would be pleased. She was born in Austria in about 1910. She could trace her ancestors back to the 11th century. She was my cousin's mother-in-law and she died in Morganton, NC.
Please call on me if I can be of additional help.

Since you have a relationship link with Willie, I have transferred the memorial to you to make updates. I have no relation to these people, just like you, I enjoy taking pics of headstones and adding those who are not in Find A Grave to this website.
