|I have been doing family history for over 45 years and I do understand that elation when one finds information about their family. For over 7 years now I have tried to do my share in documenting grave sites in any cemetery that I am near. I hope that my efforts have helped some to actually see the grave site of a family member that they never knew the location of or could never hope to visit. I spend many hours doing the photography and even cleaning up the weed choked sites. Also I go the extra mile and try to find more documentation and information about the person.|
It is not my intent to construct an instant family tree for anyone to claim; but, please, do not minimize or negate the time and efforts I put forth. I am always cooperative in making corrections or adding information to a site but prefer not to make transfers except under certain circumstances.
Please be patient if I do not make an edit immediately. It will happen but I am not at the computer 24-7.

Thanks for your time and effort toward improving Frank's memorial by adding the excellent marker photo and other important data. Your work is very much appreciated, and keep it up.

I went back and walked thru the section they told me he was in. I'm positive I was in the correct area. They told me R2, 91, 7. I went back and forth several times. did you know for sure that he has a stone?

KEFleming, Thank you for taking such a quality photo of Harold's headstone and taking the time to upload it to his memorial. It is greatly appreciated! Connie Carroll

Thanks for putting up that memorial for Lillian! It's always a win to find and post someone new.
I suspect she is a granddaughter rather than a daughter, as Lucie would have been 56 at birth, as I calculate it.
Henry's obituary gives his son's name as Fletcher. I find no Fletcher Merwin on findagrave anywhere. He also lived in Beaver City, so I suspect young Lillian was Fletcher's daughter. If she were in Table Rock, I would look for her obituary in our newspaper archives, but I don't have access to anything in your area. Too bad.
Maybe somebody will someday put it together.
Interestly, there are quite a number of Merwins buried close by Table Rock, in a tiny town called Elk Creek, just over the county line, in Johnson County. They go back to about Henry's age, so I suspect one is a brother. I don't have access to Elk Creek records weither. Again, maybe somebody will be able to link them all together.

Thank you so much for the photo. Her grave
had lain unmarked since 1895. The family ordered
the stone last year and we haven't been able
to get to B/C to see it. Again, thank you.

Would it be possible for you to take closeup photos of each of the 4 engravings on the WEST family monument located in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Clarence, Missouri for me??
I'm hoping the inscriptions will provide me additional information about those members who are buried there.
Thank you, Kem

You are probably much more knowledgeable about the Ballwegs than I am. My connection is through my brother's adopted daughter and her four Ballweg children.
Yes, we must be careful when we copy information from other family trees. More and more I'm finding mistakes in people's trees. Verifying with census information, family history books, and vital documents helps assure greater accuracy.
Thanks for writing.
