I've been working on genealogy since the mid 1980's. If there are any photo's you need from the NW Indiana area I'll see what I can do...doesn't have to be cemetery. |
I don't mind if you use the photo's I post as long as you are doing it respectfully and give credit where credit is due. I believe that genealogy and research should be shared. I am not in it for the numbers of being the one who's taken the most photo's or written the most memorials. And I will transfer any memorial that I have added to a registered family member of the person...grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. Please request and let me know your relationship.
When I create memorials that aren't my direct ancestors, I feel it is a privilege to pass them on. I like to help people "see" their loved ones.
I'm not in this to write all sorts of rules for others to try to follow. I don't believe this site is about that. I believe this site is about helping others to find their long lost loved ones. And if I can help others do that without trying to make myself look "important" then that is what I will do.
If you would like to visit my Family memorials and leave flowers:

Thank you for the transfer. I truly appreciate it.
Yes, if you can verify the gravestone that shows "Mother." That would be GREAT.

I still cannot get my yahoo email to load, this is the second time I have been online long enough to try for it. Will keep you in the loop as to what happens...I am having a ton of trouble with the phone service right now. Mom tried calling people in 2 diff states the other day and could not get either call to go through for some reason, so I think my probs might have something to do with that.

Thank you so much for taking the time to photograph and post the Blachly gravestone photos.
You really did a GREAT job!
Thanks to you I see that Elizabeth's mother was buried next to her. (The gravestone shown as "Mother") So, I set up a new memorial page for her. Do you think any of your photos could also be added to this memorial?

Have been on "dial-up" for several days and cannot access any email accounts. Sorry.....
I finally got Find A Grave to load, so thought I'd let you know what's going on.
Stay tuned.....I may have to go to the library to access email, sorry again.

|Larry Cunningham||Benjamin Griffin Warner|
We found a candidate for the headstone of Benjamin Griffin Warner, but the headstone is broken and the only surviving portion (the name) isn't exactly what we expected: The name is given as Benjamin J. Warner, not Benjamin Griffin Warner. No other Benjamin Warner is listed as in this cemetery, but we may also have discovered an entirely "new" headstone. I've uploaded a photo of the headstone to the memorial (# 115297801); if you feel this isn't the headstone of Benjamin Griffin Warner, let me know and I'll be glad to remove the photo.

Thank you, glad to do it.
not now I deleted it. Realized I could do that. They claimed she married May 25, 1814 in Grainger, TN to James Blair (William-Boles Cem) and had children by him in TN and until he died in Morgan Co 9-26-1843.
I found the reference of where they got their information by a man named Dale Kelley of Nashville IN on a IGI and from Probate book Morgan IN book May 1846 term; p. 67 lists Mary Polly Kelso and her children by James. 7 children in all and last one b. 1829 (Catherine)
I know that there was possible first marriage of Jacob Haase, but have found no where that he and Mary Polly Kelso married in Indiana. Earlier researchers said he might have had an affair, hence the other Henry Haase who lived in Morgan Co., IN. Note that most all of Jacobs children were born in TN. The family lived near Morgantown where Blairs and Kelso lived. There were many Mary "Polly" Kelso in this family of Kelso. Hugh had a daughter by the name. Several others. Did we ever find marriage record on Mary Polly to Jacob..?

I was contacted by a lady who declared our grandmother (4) was married to a James Blair... I told her she wasn't as she was busy having children by her current husband. I refused to add him to Mary Polly Kelso Haase. She added him anyway. Go look. MCW
