I've been into genealogy for some 50 years and have never lost interest in helping myself and others find their roots. I find it a huge mystery game with many surprising discoveries.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE... WHEN SENDING ME A MESSAGE ABOUT A SPECIFIC INDIVIDUAL, KINDLY INCLUDE THE MEMORIAL NUMBER. I OVERSEE TOO MANY MEMORIALS FOR THIS OLD MIND TO REMEMBER. THANKS.
TRANSFER REQUESTS: Please request if you are really a relative and will do something constructive with the memorial. If you are just a close friend, etc., the same goes for you. I will never refuse a request for valid reasons.
CORRECTIONS: additions, & family links when asked but no promises if you just send me an email instead of using the edit link. Use the Edit tab at the top right of memorial, then the Suggest A Correction option. Now we have the auto edit request and permission ability so that makes it easier. You can upload your pictures directly to the memorials, but PLEASE take pride on what you enter. Photos should be carefully composed and submitted with the highest resolution that FAG will accept.
I believe everyone prefers a typed Bio to be entered through the Bio button on the memorial page. If at all possible please transcribe the newspaper Bio and send it through the Edit button rather than attaching a photo of said Bio. I will gladly enter it in the proper location on the memorial.
Kindly accept my edit for her 2nd husband. The name of the man was correct (Jacob James Oster) but apparently he had 2 memorials. Find A Grave admin has merged them and the one currently linked to her as her 2nd spouse has been deleted. The one in my edit is the surviving memorial # for him.
David Ernest Fetrow Memorial # 81351410; the duplicate of this memorial has been removed, and additional information requested through the edit button be added. Burial records did state David E Fetrow was buried in the Marysville Cemetery, but his name is clearly printed on his niche at Praise Chapel Mausoleum, Yuba City, Sutter County, CA. Thanks for the heads up, GMT
Anna Miller Hello,it seems that was over two weeks ago,I am drawing a complete blank? From the way I worded it,I would say the issue has been corrected. I did search and can't find it again,at my age it could have been a figment of my imagination ! Sorry I could not help more. SDT (#48294079)
RE: Meade Woodson Carlisle #134066203 I dont live on this site and I am behind on edits. It is allowed on find a grave to have more than one memorial for a person if there is more than one memorial location. I added notes to the bio. If I delete it, someone will just add it again later.
