Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have only been using Find A Grave for a short time, but have been working on my family tree for years. I have enjoyed finding my ancestors final resting place. I recently found my 3rd grandfather's grave in Tennessee and was so excited to find it. I live in Dallas Georgia and I am only interested in maintaining my ancestors. All of my memorials are family however I don't mind taking pictures for other memorials.

My family ancestors are, West, Baxter, Stafford, Lankford, Canup, Burney, Rudeseal, Hoyle, Blackwood, Porter, Cole, Thompson, Sinyard, James, Story.

RE: Cordelia Blackwood
One more item on Leonard Bailey. He appears on the 1910 Major Co Oklahoma census age 75.

RE: Cordelia Blackwood
Hi Jannette, this is a date given to me by my great aunt, Grace Bailey Edwards, (grand daughter of Leonard). Grace started researching the family history in the 70's but has since passed away. Leonard was incarcerated in 1880 at Joliet Prison for one year and after his release moved to Oklahoma, while Cordelia remained in Illinois. These two remained separated until their deaths and various records for each report widowed/married intermittently throughout that time. I'm convinced that they remained in communication with each other as Cordelia collected his Civil War Pension, purchased land in Oklahoma (as Leonard's widow in 1915) and someone arranged for the military headstone in Oklahoma for Leonard. At some point I will order Leonard's Civil War records from the national archives and hopefully nail down some information from their records.

How are you connected? My family has been unsuccessful moving past Leonard in our search, if you have any information, we would appreciate it. Grace always said that Leonard's mother's name was Mary Moore and she was a Delaware Indian, this is entirely unsubstantiated. However, if you look at the photo that I posted on Find A Grave of his daughters, Minnie does have native american features.

Hope to hear from you soon.

If you go to cemeterycensus.com, you'll find photos of all gravestones in Sparrow/Mt Caramel Church Cem. You'll see one there for Charlie and Nonie Blackwood.

RE: Alfred (Alford) Blackwood
Thanks for the info regarding the children of Alfred Blackwood. I'll see if the owners of the children's memorials can add them.

RE: Garland Allen Page
Take a look at my home page, especially the messages from Katie Grimmett. I just went back into Find A Grave and added back the family members that had either been deleted or their photos deleted. Did you see that Katie added back Garland and Lilly Rudeseal photos? She is a gem.
Here in Athens, I found a headstone that had sunk and been covered with dirt through the years. The wife's headstone was barely visible. The caretaker removed the dirt so that the headstones looked nice and I was able to get good pictures. I'm a novice at this but get tips that help. Katie's tip of looking at the hardy url helped me locate several family members. Thanks for adding the info to Garland.

Garland Allen Page
I have one more request. Will you please add Tabitha Hope Baird Page to Garland? Her Find A Grave is 105017342. I haven't located her husband's burial. His great grandparents are also buried in Shiloh. Jane Baird Ayres

RE: Garland Allen Page
Garland was married to Lily Mae Rudeseal. Check out Arkansas gravestones.org. I think I saw their joint headstone picture on that website. It's such a shame for someone to remove all that info or not transfer the account to a relative.
