|Samantha Kurtz||Rudd Request|
I am new to this site and working on a Project for the Sanford Historical Society trying to more properly catalog and represent the Page Jackson Cemetery. If I am not mistaken the cemetery you speak of in this request is actually divided into multiple cemeteries including Page Jackson Lakeview and Evergreen. If you can help me determine which of those your request would be in it would be helpful and I may be able to fill your request. Lakeview and Evergreen I believe are the "white" cemeteries and Page Jackson I know is the "black" cemetery if that helps. I also know that if your request is in Page Jackson it will be very difficult because it is in a horridly dilapidated state many headstones are broke eroded turned upside down hidden under heavy overgrowth and some sites broken open even. There are also multiple unmarked graves or blank headstones. They are also not placed in in any particular order and it goes back into the woods. I also noticed your request was for a child lots of people will over look them while trying to find it as well as many of them are unmarked because they are smaller plots. I will do my best to help you out though once I hear back.

I am filling in the blanks about my family and noted that your name appeared on both Kroner and Ruth Fleeman's find a grave site. Do you happen to know anything about their daughter, Elfrieda who was born in 1924? email@example.com

|Mac McElroy||Roseberry Requests|
Hi again Betsy,
I went by Melwood today for another request and stopped into the office to see if they could find the (4) additional requests you have open. Unfortunately, though, they were unable to locate any interment records for Fitzhugh L., Mary L. (Morgan), Vera Inez or William P. Roseberry.
If you can provide any more information about where they maybe located, please let me know and I will be happy to run back over and make another attempt.
Have a great day!
|Mac McElroy||Roseberry - Melwood|
I'm just back from Melwood having located (3) of the Roseberry family members you requested photos for. In fact I only went out to locate Earnest because I knew right where Sec. 6 is located. And while searching for another Photo Request in Sec. 7, I accidentally found two others of the Roseberry family (Allene & Marlin). Sec. 7 is actually on the other side of the cemetery, not next to Six as one might assume. So it truly was a fortunate find!
But unfortunately I did not see the other Roseberry requests you made till after I returned home. And there were no others near Allene & Marlin (I always look for same names in the vicinity).
Anyway, if you would call the property (404.299.3966) and see if they can provide you the locations for the other Roseberry's you seek, I would be happy to make a return trip. I tend to go out there about every month or so.
I will be posting photos later this evening.

Hey Betsy. I cannot find a listing for a Meriwether burial in all of Morgan County, GA. I checked at our archives, which has all the headstones listed. Got any ideas? Or do you know the location of the burials in the Pennington Cemetery? Patsy
|Carol Chidlow||Annie Geiger|
I found Annie but could not find George Powell, Annie was found in the Simonton family plot, the only non-Simonton among the 10 stones there. Odd
There are some Powells in Micanopy but not yours and not even close on dates.
Some one has cleaned Annie's stone somewhat and I have listed the inscription on the memorial.
Sorry I could not be of more help.

My pleasure! They were great folks. I visit them often. They are buried close to my Dad. Happy Thanksgiving!

I knew you would be wondering how I got that so fast. I have been working on taking pictures of the whole cemeteries in my area. It just happened to be I was working on that one. I had took pictures of all the stones last week. I just have not got them all on there. So I knew I had to have it already on my computer. It was pure luck. I could not help but laugh when I got your email. Believe me I'm not that fast. Cindy Smith
