I am a 'farm girl' who grew up and still live in Iowa.|
I am trying to leave a legacy on Find a Grave for my children and grandchildren, and for others as well, by making family stories and links.
I found my great grandmother's headstone on Find a Grave quite by accident and have been hooked on this site ever since.
I enjoy helping others find relatives' and friends' resting places. I have posted many memorials and photos from various cemeteries so others can gather data.
I create memorials with dignity and respect for those who have passed. I will remove a memorial if it is too sensitive for you, and I will remove photos you do not want on a memorial.
I am not interested in amassing large numbers of memorials. I am interested in contributing data and connecting family members.
Forgive me for not yet having all burial locations identified...it takes time to research. Also, some mortuaries do not list burial or disposition details in their obituaries now, so there exists some unknowns.
I do transfer memorials if you have information to add, unless it is for my relative.
I often try to add information and family links by researching a family. This takes time, so some memorials I've created are not done.
Please let me know if there is an error so it can be corrected. I want to have true and appropriate information.
I usually make edit requests the same day. I appreciate knowing about added posts to my memorials such as photos or obituary clippings that would help me link family members.
I am happy to share photos with you to use in your family albums. Contact me using the edit and SAC tab on any of my memorials. I do not post my email address.

Thank you for questioning the memorials; we have fixed both.

|J F-B||Hi, again!|
After all the work we did together in Lawler, it's nice to see your "smiling face" over in Greene!
Thanks for all the help getting the Maxson information added. I'm still hunting for the burial information for George Maxson's wife so we can get all those children linked to their mother. I have a feeling she must be nearby but just haven't had luck figuring it out yet.
Keep up the good work.
Here's to teamwork!

|KMcLeran||RE: Dennis Day|
Hello. Nice to hear from you and thank you so much for your condolences regarding my cousin Dennis Day. His mother was my dad's younger sister. She lived with us for awhile when she was a teenager and helped take care of me and my sister. I had just reconnected with Dennis through our interest in genealogy about two years ago. He was a very avid genealogist but he made a lot of assumptions without historical documentation. So, be wary if he sent you information without documentation. I just returned from Scotland where my sister and another cousin and I attended the Highland Games in Lochearnhead and conducted family research. Our family (McLeran/MacLaren)has resided at Loch Earn and Loch Tay since the 1500's. It was a gorgeous area and we were able to meet up with lots of our clan at the games.
Again, thank you for your kind note. Happy ancestor hunting!

Marilynn, you are awesome. During the process of settling my dad's estate I stumble across this site. I was looking for Scott's son. I did find him, his name is Jeff. The information you post is spot on and so helpful. Where did you ever find those pictures? Until I can figure out how to contact you on a more personal level, I'll just say, I'm "Hooked on Marilynn".

I realize I need to send you a huge thank you. I was delving further into the Bohner line on Find a Grave. Multiple memorials you created with photos are all my relatives at Butler Center. It has done wonders for my family research especially since Mel and my grandmother passed. The other relatives don't know much about the family. One photo in particular shows three rows and most of the stones in those rows are my relatives, at least 15 if not more. You have helped me in so many ways by taking these photos. Thank you so much.
|Tonip||Lizzie Knight Mallo|
If you had not posted her memorial I would still be wondering what happened to my 2x grandfather's 4th wife. The photo of her that I uploaded came into my possession 4 days ago. With just the information on the back I was able to find her in Clarksville and then back track her to Alonzo Brainerd Patterson. So in one evening I was able to put the rest of her life in Alonzo Moody Bailey's story. Her marriage license to Mr. Mallo was a gold mine.

I found this website about George Craig. Find A Grave Memorial# 38896249
|Barton Williams||Henry Graven|
If you want to manage Henry Graven Memorial 66987968 , go ahead and make the request and I will transfer it. I'm not related in any way to Henry. I must ran across his information while researching my wife's aunt here in Abilene, TX. Also the Gravens here is spelled with an "s". Thanks
