Thomas S Brooks 1842- 1902
I read your Bio information on my 2xgreat grandfather, Thomas S Brooks, 1842-1902, buried in th Ebenezer Cemetery, in Nevada Cty, Ark. Its very detailed and has information that I did not know. I wonder where you got the information for his father and mother Josiah Wright Brooks, and Martha Barding? I thought his parents was William Brooks and Susanna Meredith. Do you have information that confirms Josiah Wright Brooks and Martha Barding as his real parents??? Very interested...Debbie

Agnes Barnes
Agnes Barnes born 13 April 1881 Kentucky and died 9 December 1961, is not the daughter of Willaim F Westfall.

In the 1900 Census she as listed as a Step Daughter.

She is the daughter of Fannie C Green, wife of William.

RE: John W Brooks
Dennis, I see from the bio on William that you say his stepmother died in 1898, I am wondering what your source of info on that was. Jane Mitchell Brooks is my great grandmother and I have not been able to find any info on her death, although in the 1900 census John W. Brooks was listed as widower so know she must have died between 1889 and 1900.

I forgot to mention in my earlier message, I got that headstone photo from Cliff Brooks, I did not take it.

RE: Drorbaughs in Paddletown
I am not concerned with vandalism and the church that is associated with the has no concern with the stones falling or deteriorating. I was only posting to show the current state for others. I will remove the pictures, although I don't agree with you.

RE: John Westfall, son of Blandina Van Etten
Hi Dennis,
I also found a death notice of Finley on a Fraternal Order database. It shows his death and place, Howard, Kansas. It is the IOOF.

I'm hoping you can clear up my confusion regarding where he was born. Your posting here says Germany. On Ancestry.com there are documents stating he was born in Holland.
I know he SAILED from Holland aboard Den Houttuyn in 1642...
Thank you.

Dennis will do...back then I think they put down what they think they might have heard be it right or wrong lol. I will make a note of seeing about better pics, but it's an old cemetery and a lot of the markers are dark with age.

Hamme Family transfers
Dennis,
I want to take this opportunity to publicly thank you for your outstanding work in researching, documenting, and photographing the memorials you've placed on this site. Your work has enabled many of us to find and link up extended family members. In this regard, you have my sincere thanks for the transfer of the Hamme family memorials that were critical to my research. You've made is a lot easier to find "lost" relatives and for this you have my heartfelt gratitude. Thank you!
Best regards,
