Hi Kim

You mention in this memorial for John Showalter that information was provided by a descendent/contributor. Is she still living and could you provide me contact information. I am trying to find a document that documenting his connection to his father Christian.

Thank you

Ryker Siblings
Hello Kim,

I am wondering if you are related to the Ryker Siblings; John Henry Ryker 29007215, Bessie Ryker, Susie Ryker, Lillie Ryker, and Clyde Raymond Ryker. I am actually looking for information on their three half siblings; Lee N Franklin, Thomas E Franklin, and Hattie E Franklin. Their father Thomas J Franklin, was the son of Benjamin and Malissa Ann Jackson Franklin. My Great-Great Grandfather Joseph Milton Franklin was Thomas' brother.

RE: Barbara Wallick Helder
How extensive is your research on the Wallick family? My Great Great Great grandmother, Sarah (Walck, Wallick) who married Jacob Abel is a dead end for me. They are buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery. I'm trying to locate her parents. Would you have any information that could help me? Thanks, Kasey

One other point about the death certificate

Her death certificate said she
was to be interred in:

Union Cemetery (aka Dallastown Union Cemetery)
Spry, York County, PA

but she was interred and
her gravestone is in:

Otterbein Cemetery
Spry, York County, PA

Ms. Kerr,

Thank you for the information. Although you should notice that her gravestone birthdate conflicts with her death certificate birthdate. I always post the gravestone one (well for my personal family memorial which conflict with their death certificates - lol - I hope you know what I mean).

After lots of pondering and thinking, the way I see it is the stone is a rather firm-set date. So, excepting cases where one personally knows the stone is WAY off, I go with the stone. Can you believe I had a distant uncle who died per death certificate one year and per his gravestone 3 years (YEARS!) later? No way the family would've waited that long... and I knew the death certificate was correct... so I simply made note of it... but, again, what can you do? Lol.

I say all this to simply ask - shall I keep the birth year as 1836?
Let me know, if you wish a change and why.
Thanks and, again, thank you for the information!
