Bio Photo Have been doing genealogy research for our family for about 18 years; started going to cemeteries about 13 years ago. Hoping to retire in a couple of years so I can do this more often. Living life and loving God and family.

I hit the enter button by mistake, sorry. I would love for you to come by the cemetery Memorial day weekend, or anytime during this coming week.
We now have several volunteers working at the cemetery to locate, unearth, or raise neglected markers. You have done a lot of memorials for burials there and I'd love to meet you.
If you're in the area please come by and share your interest in the cemetery with us.

Myrtle Grove Cemetery, Humboldt County
Hello Maggie, You have done some wonderful work for our cemetery here in Eureka Califoria in the past. You may have noticed, I have posted several edits for some of our Civil War Vets lately. A small group of volunteers have been working intensely to improve the state of our City Cemetery which has been rather neglected for some time. We are especially aiming for a Memorial Day open house with emphasis on our G.A.R. section. County death records have been utilized for the dates I have posted for you, so you can be assured they are valid. In some cases I had to do a bit of math to get the birth date from the death date that was on record. We hope it is not a great inconvenience for you to accept the edits, and we will then be able to share more complete information with visitors. Thank you again for you past work.

Thanks for photo and memorial for this distant cousin of mine. I have sent death date correction to findagrave. I'm glad you were able to find the marker. Thanks again.
