On my mother's side Schade, Welch/Welsh Blundy, Maher, Wrede, Popejoy, Berlet, Deany, Wurzburger, Schroen, Grosenbach, Saathoff, Riegel, Wrede, Fatka, Kurtnebach, Roth, Vance, Kuntz, Gentry, Shafer, Schafer, Schaeffer. The Schade's had lots of reunions. Many more names too numerous to name on both sides of the family.
In my research in Germany, my German researcher found that the Steinberg's and Schade's were very close with each other. In fact, they were godfather and godmother for each other's children.
Adams/Havener/Cameron Families which is very large - Havener, Cameron, Kramer, Hoffman, Friend, Adams, Stoner, Blakeman. I have done extensive work and researching with many documents of the Havener family. Many great memories of the Adams and Havener family and all descendants. Many, many were very close to each other - Lots and lots of reunions - in June and December.
After the death of my husband I have been with whom I call my partner - names in his family are: Gregory/Thompson and Weakley-Weakly families - Dobson, Jordan, Beckett, Downs, Eckhardt, Winchell, Marshall, Shride, Hawley, Parks, Roan, Thomas, Sheppard - lots of connections and family names in the Moultrie & Shelby Counties. I have been working on the Gregory family for approximately 19 years now. Many names in these two families.
I have been working on these family trees for over 45+ years on and off - in those years I worked as an executive secretary and raised two children. It takes a lot of time and effort to document all "sources" of your information. My families contribute to a large family tree. I have between 30,000-40,000 names in my family trees.
I have walked many cemeteries to find these families. I have gone to a few different counties in Illinois and if anyone would like to have me take a picture of one of their family in counties of Livingston, Woodford, Tazewell, Peoria, Kankakee, Ford, Macon, Christian, Coles, Moultrie, Champaign, or Shelby, please let me know. I would be happy to take pictures and add them to your site. Some of the counties I would not be in until summer time.
I believe Find A Grave is a wonderful site. Any questions or corrections, please do not hesitate to contact me.
