Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was raised in S/W Vermilion County, Illinois, and served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1966. After the military I worked sometime with Frasca Aviation (at that time located at the corner of Green and Neil Streets, Champaign). I retired from the Champaign Police Department in 1998, having served 30 years. My interest in local history, led to a collection of biographies and obituaries for a book I published on the local masonic lodge and city police department. These interests led to many treks through local and regional cemeteries. If you note any errors or changes neccessary in any of my entries, please feel use the edit tab on the memorial and send me the information. I will gladly answer any and all inquiries. I am interested in family names Godwin, Heubner, Reynolds and Buckles. Most were from south and west central Indiana. If you are a relative (within three generations)I will gladly transfer management of any of my entries, also through use of the edit tab on the memorial. A family member should maintain these and enter additional information.

RE: Thank you
I never knew he called the CPD to report his own suicide.

Is there anything else about those last days you recall you could share? Or, do you know any former partners/officers who knew my dad that would have some stories or insight about the man he was. Please pass my email (Sethdrodgers@hotmail.com) to anyone you think could share with me.

Thank you again.

Fairview Cemetery in Douglas County
Hi David,

Any chance you would take 4 pictures for me at Fairview?

I have four family member requests up. I can send them to you or they can be found on requests at that cemetery. Two Burtons, William and Harriet; and two Carriers, John and Luretta.

Thank you for your time.

Please let me know if you will do this.

Best Wishes.

Thank you
I found the page for my father, Ricky Rodgers today. He left when I was so young, it is comforting to know others miss him too. Thank you for creating this memorial for him.

Thank you, David, for doing the family link to his wife, Adeline. I appreciate the time you take in answering these requests. You're one of the conscientious ones who likes to show good information on the memorials. --Sheila Hughes
