Corp. William F. Steinmetz
He's a very distant ancestor/relative of a paternal uncle's wife. He's not blood to me, but I am working on the Steinmetz line of my aunt's family.

Bing Crosby's Daughter
Susan Ham Black Bond. #15887798
I believe if you go take a look at Memorial you will find that this Can Not Be his Daughter. she was born (1828) before Bing was born (1903).She was Born before either of Bing's parents were born. Harry Crosby (1870) Catherine Crosby (1872).
I believe that this mistake needs to be corrected ASAP, please.
thank you , janey

# 805 Oliver Hazard Perry
There is no good image of O.H. Perry in the closed photo set at his memorial site. I have a very good one that I would like to post in lieu of the very small image that lacks any detail. It is a cropped version of the image at this link:

William Rose Asay
Hi Russ
I was just wondering since you do a lot of Civil War guys if you can find any info on William Rose Asay for me.Ive been trying to find where is is buried at but no luck.He died in march 1901 I believe in Newark NJ in a civil war home. Then his orbit says he was laid out at William H Dubell (his brother in laws) home in Bordentown NJ.Private interment.Censes say he lived in Trenton with his son & Daughter before going to Newark. Its been driving me crazy to find out where he is laid to rest at.lol Any info would be greatful. Thanks

Keep up the great job that you do and I tell everybody about this great website.

RE: Joseph Bloomfield #4820
Russ,
Thanks for responding - I'm sure you're super busy! Lol - by 1812 Joseph had earned his "desk job". Let me know if you are short of time and want me to write the bio. I appreciate your response.

Joseph Bloomfield #4820
Russ,
Joseph served in the 3rd NJ Regiment in the Continental Army with my 4x great-grandfather Timothy Sexton. He was wounded in the Battle of Brandywine. I think your bio makes it sound as if he was a paper-pusher who was never in a real battle and maybe it should be fleshed out a bit to include more details. :) I am inspired by your Civil War Virtual Cemeteries, so I am beginning one for the NJ 3rd Continental Army. Thanks.

RE: Admiral Leroy
My pleasure. I visited Laurel Hill Cemetery for the first time last week. I didn't know that it was your "home base." I would have called and tried to get together with you.
