Recent trip to Hunter Cemetery, Maury Co. Mt. Pleasant, Tn. Two large trees have fallen and one missed the McGee memorial by about 2ft. Another tree fell and has destroyed the ts of Richard Stockard and about 6 others around it.|
Wayne Austin and I are trying to get volunteers to go there and moved the trees and repair the stones that are damaged/destroyed. Any suggestion on how to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated. A photo on the memorial of Richard Stockard will show part of the damage.
Born and raised in Lewis and Maury County, Tennessee. Member of the National Society of Children of the American Revolutionary War.
Maury Co., Tn has many historical cemeteries. Many Rev. War soldiers are buried in Maury Co./Lewis Co. Tn., also many Civil War Generals, War of 1812, and their soldiers.
Cemetery preservation is very important to me and I try to list from actual cemetery visits and various book listings. I have been working with Wayne Austin for the last 10 years as a volunteer contributor for his project.
Please, e-mail me with any corrections or additional information that needs to be posted at any Maury County Cemetery where you see my name via the edit option on the memorial.
If I have posted a close relative of yours let me know and I will transfer. Please use the edit option on the memorial for updates, corrections and questions, my responce will be much faster, I don't have to look up the memorial by name that way.

I want to thank you again for working to separate the two Yokley cemeteries. I went in and finished "sanitizing" my directional flower tributes - not needed since the separation. Someone (you or another) had removed most of the ones from Hannah-Yokley, but I caught a few that had been missed. Yesterday I removed the ones from Yokley. I appreciate your honoring my request. And I'm glad the Silas Caldwell burial is located---great work you are doing!

Wanda Embler has also added this. Hers has the Obit, Stone and a Picture of her. Just thought I would let you know
|Dora Whisenant||RE: Uncle James Cook|
James Wesley Cook was Papa Ben's brother and lived in Paris, TN. I don't have a good picture of James Cook, son of Ben and Mary Ridge Cook.

Wiley Williams married Mary Ann Harrington. They had 12 children: Eugenia Jane, Martha A (Trousdale, then Rains), John H, George A, James A, William Frank, Labetha E, Elizabeth Ann (as I have her, mother of Wiley Franklin Odom), Savicey E, Frances Caroline (Bailey), Mary Elinor, Huldah L. This all comes from census records.

I don't know where they're buried, but I have ideas about their settlement location. This Williams family resettled to West Texas in the 1880s, and I think that some Williams cousins, also named Williams, settled together with them. Eastland County is one possibility.
|Carolynn ni Lochlainn||"Willy F Williams"|
Willy F Williams is actually Wiley Franklin Odom, an illegitimate child born of Tabitha Elizabeth. He's not Wiley's son, he's his grandson. Amazing, right?
|Carolynn ni Lochlainn||RE: Wiley Williams will abstract|
I have Caleb S Williams on my tree. Elizabeth, Wiley's daughter, was my direct ancestor in that generation. Not much on her - she never married despite having one child, a son named Wiley Odom. Anything you have would be great!

Oh my gosh, thank you so much!!! I am so excited to have that text on the memorial. I really appreciate you adding it.

|Janice Dill||Earl Melvin Workman's Mother|
Earl Melvin Workman's mother's name was Ada Florence "Addie" KENNEDY, not Canady as it is listed. Just thought you would want to know. To verify my information, you could ask Rick Gray who is also a relative as I am.
Hi Mary Bob,
Thank you so much for the Arthur transfers, I appreciate your hard work and wiliness to share.
