Bio and Links
Bio Photo BTW...My best friend died on 26 August 2015; I shared his life & his name for nearly 52 years. He was ill for a mere 30 days (that we knew about). Cancer can be very insidious, so please support research any time you can. Thank you so much! Zeus also misses the man who no longer lives within our home--just within our hearts.

BTW...Dad died in early June 2014--if you sent me a note & I did not respond--please resend!

I am married with 3 children & 5 grandchildren; we have had dogs living with us since 1969, when our 2 BIG dogs (a Lab & a German Shepard) died several years ago we decided to get a smaller dog. This 25 pound dynamo now lives with us and answers to ZEUS; he is well loved by all!

Some thoughts I've found posted by others:
To the world you may be just one person, but to one person you may be the world.

Those we love don't go away...
They walk beside us every day!!!
Unseen, unheard, but always near....
Still loved, still missed and very dear!

Small plaque shown by a cemstone says:
Our family chain is broken & nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

PLEASE ADD FAMILY MEMBER PHOTOS
I have been researching since 1983, started all this to find my birth mother, did that; discovered I really enjoyed the hunt for missing relatives now long gone.
I always did like solving puzzles, but now I find the answers are not "in the back of the book" but usually found on a web page, a newspaper, a cemstone or hidden in a courthouse somewhere.
If you happen to share family members with me, PLEASE let me know. Drop me a line, to let me know that you found an entry, especially if you have something to add; or a correction to make. If you have a bio entry you would like to have included no problem-send it; will post. Dianna

Alexander McLoud McCrum, Sterling, Kansas
Hi DJ,

In Feb 2015 you left a flower for Alexander McCrum, #107683785, with comments about your findings for him on Ancestry. I've stumbled upon news paper clippings and an obit in the Hutchinson [Kansas] News for his parents, Robert (#107683940) and Jennie (#107683858) McCrum, who are also buried in Sterlng Cemetery. I've posted photos of the items from the newspaper on their memorial pages. I've also submitted edits to link them all.

I also found Alexander's obit. I'm not going to post it since it's more recent. Let me know if you'd like me to email it to you.

I thought I'd let you know in case you're still interested in him.

RE: Thomas Leslie & his wife Eliza
Dianna,
I talked it over with my sister and we feel the 2 Eliza's are the same person. Eliza was 16 when she married Thomas and we know she did not marry anyone after him. Her grandson stated on his father's death certificate that her maiden name was Pancake so possibly she married before Thomas and then was widowed. There are Pancake families living in Meigs County during that time, but we do not know who her parents were.

How are you related to the Leslie's?

RE: Thomas Leslie & his wife Eliza
Let me check with my sister and get back to you. I am wondering if the two Eliza's are the same person. The Eliza we have we got her maiden name from her son's death certificate. The date you have for the marriage would work because their first child was born in 1845. We have not been able to find them before Ohio. They are our 2nd great grandparents.

RE: Milton & Pearl Dillon
Thank you for "moving" Milton and Pearl. My sincere sympathy to you on the loss of your husband, and totally understandable why the delay in your response. It appeared by what you wrote on their memorials that you were likely related to Milton & Pearl so I just wanted to make sure you received my note about their burial location so you could move them and still manage them. I have linked their son Walter to them. Welcome back to Find A Grave! :) -Judi

Milton & Pearl Dillon
Hi Dianna,
I have tried contacting you via the edit tabs for Milton Marvin Dillon # 112608966 and his wife Pearl (Easlick) Dillon # 112842415 whose memorials you created in 2013 and "burial unknown" to let you know that there is a stone for them as well as a marker in their plot for their son Walter, at Mooreville Cemetery, Mooreville, MI so you could correct their burial location on the memorials you manage (and perhaps solve that mystery in your tree) but I see they still remain with an undesignated burial location. A volunteer group at the Genealogical Society of Washtenaw County is trying to make sure all stones at Mooreville Cemetery are posted to Find A Grave, which would include the Dillons, so please let me know if for some reason you do not want to update the burial location on your Dillon memorials and I will create a memorial for Milton and for Pearl at Mooreville Cemetery so they will be included with the others buried there. Thank you and sincerely, Judi

Catherine Gay's gravestone
Catherine Gay does not have a gravestone, but there is a plain stone (a real stone) that was sunk into the ground next to the Gay monument. I probed the area, but found no other engraved stone. Next to the pillar style Gay family monument, I dug out the stone that was under heavy sod. I am unsure if it had a hand-carved name on it at one time, or it this stone was the base of another, larger stone which deteriorated and was taken away. I will add the picture of the area where I dug.

I have seen real stones carved with a person's name, but this one showed no sign of any engraving. Sorry I could find nothing else.
