Bio and Links
Bio Photo just a History junkie, I have always been interested in the vast collection of history in every cemetery I passed through. Now that I have the time I just decided to try to get pictures of every stone I found in every cemetery I could get to. I have a friend who took photos a few years ago for OKGENWEB. I have noticed that many of the stones that she took photos of were 80 to 90 years old were still in fair shape (readable) but now the stones seem to have deteriorated to the point that they are not readable. I asked a few people what has happened in the last ten years that is causing these stones to decay much more than they did the eighty or more years before? A couple of people have said the reason is "acid rain" makes sense I guess so if that's the case we better get this history recorded. I am not a collector of memorials I just feel it is up to the living to remember the dead and help link the families so others can find there ancestors. The photos I take are posted to be shared I don't care about copyright as long as the purpose is to share with the family members. If there are family members who wish to maintain memorials that I have posted I will be glad to transfer to them as long as it's not from my family. Again I'm not in competition to see how many memorials I can make, it is just an O.C.D. thing (I'm crazy)! If I can help anyone find a long lost loved one it makes my day, I live in Adair County, OK. and will try to help find any grave within 100 miles of my home, good Lord willing and the creeks don't rise!

That's alright. It happens to me too. I check with and without the death year and some times the memorial doesn't show up so I create o
ne. Only to find out one was already there. Sure hope.Find A Grave can fix the problem.

however, i can't copy even what you sent. agent is impossible to copy for us, how did you do it? we must wait until the obit is on line in the sequoyah county times newspaper, and it will copy. i checked this morning and the times does not have it yet. as soon as it comes up, i will put it on sharon's memorial.
however my question is mute, because i can't copy even your copy. thanks anyway, i will enter it soon.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what pain that must be.

RE: Levon Helm
I haven't been up to Woodstock since mid-April, but as of then there was still only a grave marker. I am in touch with Barbara, Levon's manager, and she told me that Levon's wife and daughter are still trying to decide what kind of stone they're going to have. As soon as that decision is made and a stone is in place (and I go back up there again), I will post a new photo.
