Bio and Links
Bio Photo Thought for the day: If you're waiting for your chance to win the lottery, take a look at some of these headstones where the person lived a few decades, a few years, a few months or even just a few hours and then you'll realize you're already the big winner.

I've been doing general genealogy for a little over a year now (as of August '09). I get pictures of headstones here and there hoping it will help somebody somewhere and I consider it an honor to post cemetery information of the men and women that served this great land called the United States of America.

I've taken cemetery pictures in 37 states, DC, Canada and the Bahamas. My favorite place for pics is definitely (southern) Louisiana.

Some of the surnames in my tree include Thompson, Liles, Southards, Chester, Stacks, Causey, Shipp and McDaniel.

The (famous) ancestor that I am most proud of is King Robert (the Bruce) I of Scotland.

UPDATE: April/2012 (I almost made it three years without putting some sort of gripe in my bio) - If you're going to ask for a transfer, please don't use some cheap excuse like, "I would like to link them to my family" or "I would like to make updates". Any knucklehead can do those things. Just ask for the transfer and I'll probably do it. I generally don't even care about the transfer guidelines. Honesty is more important. Just say (something along the lines of), "They are directly or indirectly related to me and I would like to have them."

Gripe #2 (July 2012) - Please don't post death certificates where you are supposed to put pictures of the person and headstone. Send a SAC with the birth and/or death information and parents if available. About the only thing left is what they died of and do we really need to know that?!?!

I am praying 4 U.

Anaise Autin mother of Justillian Robichaux
Hi Cam,

I know it currently looks wrong, but Anaise Autin is the maiden name for Justillian Robichaux's mother. I have submitted a correction to the memorial to fix her name and change the birth date to 1830 rather than 1884.

But, thank you for asking. Keeps us honest :-)

RE: Robert Lee Bond
Thanks for taking the time to research his parents and correct his memorial. I tried to find him on the 1880 and 1900 census, but could not.

Don Texter
A name correction is needed.
Cam Thompson,
My wife is buried in the McKenzie Cemetery near Oletha,Texas .Faye Sanders Texter.
You have a name that you attached to her name of "Fanny" which is not true, she never used that name.
Please put a correction in "Find a Grave" showing the elimination of the name,"Fanny".
Thankyou. Don Texter Nov.22,2015

Union Cemetery, Monroe County Arkansas
Hi Cam... I have found a family who I believe should all be buried in this cemetery but there are only 13 memorials posted. Not that I can remember every single cemetery I have worked on, but I am wondering if you remember back to 2010 and this particular cemetery well enough to say if you listed all the known graves, or just a few selected ones. Thanks for any insights.

Thanks for the info about the duplicate memorial, however her death cert states burial in San Fernando #2. Before I remove my memorial I will have to do more research. Thanks Beverly

Photo Error
I just wanted to let you know you posted a photo of a headstone on the memorial for a Maria C. Scanio Find A Grave # 31457800 and if you look it is the incorrect Maria because of the date of death; your photo matches the dates of Maria F. Scanio Find A Grave # 31457923.

Just wanted to bring that easily made error to your attention so you could delete the one photo and add it to the other memorial. Your photo has three people listed on the headstone.
