I live in Richmond, VA, but most of my personal research is in Ohio, Ontario (Canada) and St. Louis, MO. When I go out on photography "missions" I like to take pictures of a few other headstones while I'm there. How do I pick them? Generally I like to commemorate veterans or last names that I've found in my family tree-- even if I have serious doubts that we are actually related. Who knows?

RE: Gordon family
Thanks for the transfers but I am not related to them either but I was looking for someone else in Deep Run and saw they didn't have any info so I started digging to see if I found anything on them. If you want I can transfer them back to you. I just have to see unknown on memorials.

Justin Green #31932475
Hi, Justin Green was my grandfather's brother. I am writing to ask if you would allow me to use the photo of his gravestone. I am in the process of making a genealogy book on the Greens (before I get TOO OLD) and would like to use this photo in the book. Looking forward to hearing from you. I will contact the manager of the memorial to make some corrections to the info that is posted. Thank you so much.

RE: Wellnitz photo
You're welcome; I'm glad I could help. :)

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find Francis' headstone. They're both supposed to be buried in Cathedral, Section DSR, which is a pretty little area at the back of the cemetery and one of the last sections to be sold (these were single plots). Francis is supposed to be near the front of the section, in 8-2; John was near the back in 159-1. I'm going to look again, though, because the numbering is really screwy in that area, so it's possible I just overlooked him. I'll talk to the caretaker next time I'm out that way.

If it turns out Francis' grave is unmarked, would you like me to upload a picture of the gravesite and section? At least that way you'd have a mental image of where he is and a picture to add to your family tree (if you're making one).
