Bio and Links
Bio Photo A special thanks to everyone for visiting and leaving flowers for my parents: James Lee Cobb and Alma Jean Crawford Cobb.

Please visit my sister's memorial, who left this life 7APR2012, Kathy.

"There is something within us that tells us all we will ever know about ourselves.
There is a destiny that tells us where we will be born, where we will live, and where we will die.

I have walked the land in the footsteps of my fathers. Back in time to where the first one trod, and stopped, saw sky, felt wind, bent to touch Mother Earth.....and called this "Home."

Father, mother. Grow, too the sons and daughters. To walk the old paths. To look back in pride in honored heritage. To hear its laughter and its song. To grow, to stand and be themselves, one day remembered.

I have walked the land in the footsteps of all my fathers.

I saw yesterday and now look to tomorrow.

N. Gooden
N. Gooden #31747068 is in Cave Hill National Cemetery not Cave Hill Cemetery. Minor point but would help someone trying to find the grave.

You have a number of photos for the above family - may I use them (you will be cited as a source) on my family tree?
Thanking you in advance

P.S. - If you have Cobb ancestors from Somerset, England, we may be (distantly) related....

John Cobb
My husband and I completed photographing the entire Danville National VA cemetery in 2012 and continue to add photos as new burials occur. The cemetery is filled to capacity and buries ashes at this time.
There was no marked grave for this person there.
The biographical information on the memorial is probably correct but there is no listing for John Cobb in the Nationwide Gravesite Locator for this person at Danville National VA and no listing in their on site directory.

Leota Cobb Evergreen Cemetery
Leota Cobb is buried in Section 3 of Evergreen Cemetery. There is a cemetery transcription book which is most helpful in finding grave locations but Section 3 does not have neat rows. Graves go every direction so the burials in that section are listed in alphabetical order in the cemetery book. The only way to find a specific grave is to walk the section which is fairly large so this is difficult because of the random order. We have taken pictures at this cemetery twice and have walked section 3 twice without finding Leota, but that doesn't mean this request cannot be filled at some point. I just wanted you to know that someone has at least tried to fill it in the last two years.
