Bio Photo As the website has been removing photographs I submitted for months now, many, I will soon will systematically begin removing them on my own. I expect some retribution for that. I have seen it before. Regrets all.

Because the website is arbitrarily removing work I submitted I am not contributing or participating unless I become more comfortable with it's operation. I will miss this. Many years, many friends.

My home is circa 1784. Its situation is such that it fell in the line of battle during the conflict between the States. When my father died, I was too early at the cemetery for the appointment concerning the necessary arrangements. To pass the time I paid a visit to the antique shop close by. Displayed there was a book which possessed a title that gave me the idea that my home may be mentioned within. Upon opening it, the pages fell directly to a description and photograph of my old place. It was not intended for the purpose, but the volume became a much worn field guide as I sought to visit and photograph other antebellum homes in the vicinity. I pursued that objective with interest and vigor. This caused me to notice the old churches en route and I began to photograph them. Behind the churches were cemeteries. Cemeteries that I found to be serene and sublime, full of lore. In turn they led me here and I stayed.

RE: Sappony Cemetery
George, I think maybe I figured out how to do it on the Find A Grave HELP. I contacted them through Outlook email and gave them the information. I guess I will have to wait and see if it worked. Thanks again for your assistance. Donna Wilkins

RE: Sappony Cemetery
Thank you for your kind response. I was really hoping you were the one!

Since I know you are much more experienced than I am with the Find A Grave website, can you point me in some direction to be able to fix it? There is so little information posted on Find A Grave it and a shame when more is known.

I do appreciate your effort.

Sappony Cemetery
First let me tell you how much ALL of your efforts on Find A Grave is appreciated. You will never know how many you have helped to locate their ancestors! So, God Bless You!
I think you may be the "knight if shinning armor" that created this cemetery for Find A Grave (I know you created 3 of the 4 memorials listed). If I'm correct,I wonder if you would be so very kind as to add the following information for the cemetery itself.
Previously called the Sappony Baptist Church Cemetery (behind the church). Located at 13045 Concord Sappony Road (S.R. 681) with the intersection of Sussex Drive (S.R. 40).

Many thanks,
Donna Wilkins

Jesse Nalle

Thank you for posting the photos of Jesse Nalle. I have a great interest in his son Albert who was a volunteer ambulance driver with the French army in 1915. My question is; where did you find the photo of Jesse? Was he a cadet at West Point or some other military school?

RE: Edits
Mr. George - THANK YOU for your patience. Sometimes I find these connections in"pieces," and so send them when I find them.

Having been chastised by several other members of Find A Grave who have denied my recommended updates on the basis of lack of documentation, I now err on the side of TOO much. And it's usually because I'm "finding" this info as I research my own. It's difficult to find it again once I realize it's a dead end for my own family tree.

Wishes you all the best this holiday season and into the next year! Your "gentle" communication is gratefully appreciated.

Memorial # 30666598
Hello George,

I am trying to determine if I am possibly related to Andrew Wallace, Memorial # 30666598. You added the photo of his grave site without any family information. I am curious to know if this is a relative of yours and/or if you know anything else about him.

My maternal grandmother's paternal grandmother was born a Wallace but after months of searching we can not prove her parentage. We were always told that we were in someway related to William Alexander Anderson "Bigfoot" Wallace. As Bigfoot never married nor had children, we assumed he was a great uncle. I can not confirm that either. So I'm trying to find other Wallaces in Virgina to see if perhaps he is a cousin, as well as to determine from which Wallace line we descended.

I'm emailing you as well in case you don't frequent this site any more.

Thank you in advance,

Shelley Sharp

Hi, George. We missed this one. :) Please transfer management of this relative, please.

Also, I just read your message about Find A Grave deleting some of your memorials. What gives?

Thanks for all of your hard work.
