Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for over 40 years. I have started to take pictures of area cemeteries (Waukesha County area) and I am trying to submit them to various sites. I also take picture when I go on vacation to other parts of the country.

If anyone needs a photo (which has not been re-sized) or has any corrections or additions please let me know.

Lately I have been getting many, many transfer requests without the needed information. If anyone requests a transfer, use the EDIT tab and the transfer request must contain the following information: Relationship; Parents, Siblings, Grandparents And Great Grandparents (which does not include Aunts/Uncles/Cousins) and your Find-A-Grave Contributor Number. A transfer cannot be done without the contributor number. It takes up too much time for me to search out the above information.

My sister, Lois has been helping with the corrections and additions and also looking for obituaries. My sister, Julie is also helping with taking pictures.

RE: Adolph DeHaas.
Hi Lenora,
Many thanks for your reply and for adding the information to Adolph's memorial page. Adolph Edward or Edward Adolph, as the case may be, is the brother of my mother's mother, Emma (nee DeHaas) Brotherhood. The boy Edward who I mentioned in my research note, is stated as being a living sibling on his sisters' Ida, Clara, and Emma's birth certificates. So, we know that he was alive as of Emma's birth in 1867. Curiously, his father registered Edward's birth AFTER Edward's death. The boy was the father's only son and I suppose the father was trying to honor his child. But even more curious, the father failed to register the birth of what must have been another daughter, Alwine DeHaas, who is buried on the same plot as Adolph. Alwine was born in 1861 and died in 1868. There is no birth or death certificate for her in Milwaukee County. She fell through the cracks when it came to censuses. There is not even an index card for her at Union Cemetery (the office is at Graceland Cemetery) even though there is an index card for Adolph. With respect to the question of Adolph's name, the family had a history of giving a son a baptismal first name that was the first name of a relative. "Edward" was a popular family first name. Some brothers were even both named "Edward" for their first names. However, the family would then proceed to call a boy by his second given name. This is why I believe that Adolph might actually be Edward Adolph. (Germans used baptismal names as "official" names on documents, hence "Edward" on the birth certificate.) Later family members may have remembered a child named Adolph (the second name used all the time by the family), but failed to know that his seldom-used first name was actually "Edward", and therefore placed the name "Adolph" on his marker. Sorry this is so confusing but this is what happens when families fail to record births in Bibles or fail to register births/deaths properly. Many thanks again for all your cooperation. It is much appreciated.

Szewczykowski, Arthur
I went there in the morning and Esther and Arthur were frozen over. I came back after work and got better pictures.

I added all those who are also in the plot with pictures.

Also in the plot are:
East: Rydlewicz, Irene Sally & Erwin J., Pruss, Evelyn Dolores & Alois, Broske, Helen Irene & John George
West: Szwczykowski, Esther & Arthur
No marker: Komas, Leo & Lucille Elizabeth

Could you check the memorial above for
Charles Zodrow in Wisconsin, the marker doesn't match. Thanks

Rexford Barnes
Sorry but as far as I know, this Barnes is not related to our family. We do have Barnes's in our family. My daughter took this grave photo when she lived in Oregon a long time ago. If I were you I would check with the man who left the data on the grave site. Sorry I can't help.

I found her maiden name in on the Johnson Family Tree with her husband and children. That is the only place I looked so if you feel it is wrong I would not make a fuss about deleting it. Penny
