Bio

I started out on Find A Grave by adding some grave and memorial photographs for Emily Carr, my favourite Canadian artist. This inspired me to begin researching my own family records (the McCoy and Bell families of southwestern Ontario). I love that this wonderful site offers both emotional comfort to the bereaved and genealogical information to those researching family history.

Willing to take photos in Victoria, British Columbia, if it is not too far from where I live ... please just drop me a line.

If you would like to leave a token for any of these 4 relatives, I would be tremendously grateful (and will be very happy to return the kindness). Thank you so much.

• my sweet cousin (first cousin once removed) Violet Martin nee Spies (died Nov. 2014);
• my dear father Sam McCoy (2009);
• my beloved mother Hazel McCoy nee Bell (2003).
• my "uncle" (first cousin once removed) William Nelson Bell -- see also his military grave in Bayeux War Cemetery, France (1944).

Regarding any of the memorial pages that I've created: if you're a closer relative than I am, and you'd like to maintain the memorial yourself, please contact me and I will transfer the page to you.
