I am researching the Edwards Family, Hemphill Family, Strebeck Family and Rayner Family in Mississippi. I appreciate all the information people have put out on Ancestry.com and FindAGrave.com and I hope that I can make a small contribution also by going to local cemeteries and adding information. When I fulfill a photo request, I photograph all the stones in the family plot. If there is no memorial for a family member I make one!
The memorials that I create are done so in hopes that they may help others find their family roots. If I have added a name of one of your friends or relatives that you would like to maintain, just let me know & I will transfer it to you.

Levi was my 1st cousin 5Xs removed. He was born (probably) in Greene County, Georgia. He was the son of Thomas Perdue (abt 1788-1842) & Margaret Gaston (abt 1784-1850). He and his brother, Ezekiel N Perdue, were named as executors of their father's will (Administrator Bond, Putnam County, Georgia) was submitted 1 Aug 1842. It doesn't appear he ever married according to subsequent Censuses, and by 1845 he and several of his siblings and their families were in Noxubee County, Mississippi and then moved on to Arkansas by 1860. Their mother, Margaret "Peggy" Gaston Perdue was in Noxubee, Mississippi, as well and was reported to have died there on 27 Jul 1850.(per Census Mortality schedule)

1845 Mississippi state census:
L W Perdue - Males: 3(probably with younger brothers John Francis & Alexander R), total: 3

1850 Noxubee, Mississippi:
Family 827: Levi W Perdew - 33, Planter, $560, bn GA. Also listed: Ezekiel - 38; John F - 25; Alexander - 23; Emily - 28.

1860 Extra, Ashley, Arkansas:
Family 757: E Perdue (M) - 48, Farmer, $1700 / $100, bn GA. Also listed: L W Perdue (M) - 42, Farmer, - / $600, bn GA.

1880 Extra, Ashley, Arkansas:
Family 9: Perdue, Levi W - 60, single, Farmer. Also listed: sister Echle, Ann J - 55, widowed
That's about all I have on him. Hope this helps
