Bio Photo First of all, if you are looking for a family members grave and find a picture here, you are more than welcome to use the picture.

Unknown we are to each other...through time our paths have as we visit one to another...know as family you shall never be lost.

I consider Cemeteries to be outdoor museums.
I am proud to be referred to as "The Family Historian."

Thank you for the transfer, yes I remember seeing Judith's headstone many years back with the tree taking over. I will get to updating as soon as I finish the project I am on. Thanks, again, Eileen

Thank you so much for the visit for Yannis's Angel day. It made a hard day a little easier to know that so many friends care.

Paul E. Huffman

I am the great granddaughter of Martha Ellen Huffman. I have never heard of "Paul E. Huffman" and he is not listed in any of the Census reports I have found in

I may be in error, but could you please send me more specific information as to how you are referencing this Paul Huffman?

Thank you very much,
Deborah Reef

RE: Benicia Cemetery
Hi Donna,

Not sure about Ilene's comments below, except that she may think you are somehow a person with influence over those who maintain (or, as she suggests, fail to maintain) the cemetery. I know your efforts, and those of other FindAGrave volunteers, is to preserve here in the memorials of FindAGrave all that exists at our cemeteries with photos and stories. The responsibility for real-world physical upkeep lies in the hands of those who actually own or manage the cemeteries.

Keep on documenting all you can for future generations of Solano County genealogists who will thank you!

Benicia Cemetery
I am from Benicia .My family is buried in Benicia cemetery.
I am appalled of the condition of this Historic cemetery. Why because the cemetery tells a lot about the town & the condition it is in. If you don't care about the resting place of the citizens, the builder of this town of what it is today. Then you don't care much about the living.. Going to the cemetery
To place flowers on your parents grave where you grew up should at least be picked up.. its in shambles unreal makes me sad deep inside..the city of Benicia should have more respect for its forefathers who have passed after all they were the back bone of this awesome town... My grave is up their in the family plot. Saddens me to think my children would have to walk into a mess like that to place flowers on my grave and 5 th generation's up their.. Its historical cemetery all kinds of people go their to take pictures. Please make your city proud for the living who go their and the forefathers who have passed... The Dixon cemetery is beautiful an awesome place to visit...once a yr. People go into the cemetery and clean it.. light candles on all graves pick up trush. .. pull weeds..they even have a waterfall their. My husband is buried their.. a beautiful place to go visit.
Maintaince men are their 8 hrs a day maintaining this awesome cemetery making sure the graves are not robbed or broken stones.. they take care of the trees that fall on the graves.. its a place I can go and pray and know my husband is in a safe place not so with Benicia Cemetery. . Please show respect for your dead and the people who go their to see their families and history it represents your beautiful little town by the bay. Sincerely Ilene Petty from the parents of Alma Faye Apple & Oliver w Appel their daughter.
