Bio and Links
I have been doing genealogy since 1967 and just discovered Find-a-Grave in late 2006. My wife and I have always enjoyed walking cemeteries and wondering about the people and their stories.

If you would like a larger version of one of the pics I have posted just ask. I usually take large pics and then have to resize them down to get them into Find A Grave. I also hereby give blanket permission to use any photographs I have taken for your personal genealogies.

If you find a person on my list and they are related to you and you want the memorial transferred to you, click Edit tab, then click Suggest a Correction, and request transfer. That way I know I'll be transferring the correct person to you. Also add your F.A.G #.

Don't send transfer requests in Messages.

RE: Harriet Brimblecom
Her is the link Jim.

It was the last sentence of the article which made me ask the question.

Thanks for checking Jim. She is a first cousin 5 times removed, so I am just tracing those lines. Her parents were Jonas and Lucy Hudson Buttrick and her grandfather was Lt. Col. John Buttrick of Revolutionary war fame.

Exactly as requested, thank you, Jim. We may have to do this again if more personal photos get added. The headstone belongs on the front page.

RE: Find A Grave Changes
I was lucky and a friend told me about it before any of mine could be automatically approved. I really wish that they would have pushed out an email to all Find A Grave members and also have the volunteer reply because they would have known who was active, but they didn't ask me. That's why I put my message on profile pages and hope that people will send it to their friends and leave it on their profile page because a lot of people don't know anything about this even though it's been going on for over 2 1/2 years.

RE: Find A Grave Changes
Nope, no notice about the edits. You just have to check your profile page each few days to see if edits have come in. For those that don't know about it it can change correct info. VERY SCARY!!!!

Find A Grave Changes
A friend told me about this change a couple days after this was deployed. I have sent an edit/s to you so I thought maybe you didn't know about it. You might want to pass it on to your friends. thanks!!! ~Peggy

New "Automated" system for "Suggest a Correction/Submit an Edit"

******Please Note******
New System for Memorial Edits deployed by FindAGrave on 12/5/2013

Go to your Contributor/Profile page. Look in the upper right corner. You should now see a tab called "Edits" - check there to see if any have been submitted to you. Then just review and accept.

Way easier for doing updates to names/dates/places/plot numbers/links. If you don't approve within 21 days it will automatically accept it.

You still will get e-mails to add info to bio section.

RE: John Gibson
Thank you. I only type what is in the newspaper and I don't always know if it is all correct. I'm glad you didn't change the obit and just added a note what is wrong.

RE: Leonard Eigen.
Yeah, that is what I figured. I couldn't find an entry in the Madronia cemetery records, so I did a little research on his name, and I noticed another Find A Grave memorial, but it was at Los Gatos. Then I found his obit, and that sealed it. Thanks Jim! Deb :)

RE: Leonard Eigen.
Sorry about that.

The Los Gatos memorial (6914912) was posted in the correct cemetery before you mistakenly posted yours (51676484) in Madronia.

The Los Gatos memorial for Eigen (6914912) was posted Nov 09, 2002

Your Madronia memorial for Eigen (51676484) was posted Apr 26, 2010.
