I'm retired and have relocated to Florida (2011). YeY|
If there are any changes, corrections, or additions to a relative or friends entry you stumble across that I have done, feel free to email me. I love the 'edit' tab and corrections are really easy for me with that feature on findagrave. TRANSFERS - Unfortunately, I don't really appreciate the approach that a memorial needs transfer because you (not a direct family member) possess additional information which only can be added if transferred. Comes off as a little bogus at this end. As long as I'm alive and not a stroke victim, I can add whatever is passed along. Extensive information also understood and accepted as a valid reason to transfer. Etiquette always plays well.
FORT SNELLING NATIONAL transfers: I did the 2003 picture for the cemetery back when it had no picture. At last check it is still the one that is automatically attached to a FindAGrave (FAG) memorial when added. I have one memorial at Fort Snelling, Dorothy Rose Payne. None of the other memorials at Fort Snelling on FAG are mine. So I can't transfer what is not mine. End of story.
RANT Warning! ! ! Don't get me started on abbreviations; too late. I don't like abbreviations, I think people who use them are lazy and inconsiderate. Lazy! Inconsiderate! Yes, because when you can go to a memorial and read through it because it just flows due to the author using their fingers and typing out actual words. It looks so nice. Feels so good to know what you're reading. Then there are those who abbreviate this and that leaving behind cryptic memorials of this generation. Just think what people 100 years later will face when they come up against abbreviations that were popular in 1995 2012 2020 but will have to spend a good amount of time trying to find a rosetta stone of popular abbreviations throughout the last 100 years. And wouldn't you know, the one you made up won't be there. They would email and ask - BUT YOU'RE DEAD! It's so nice to read and know rather than read and wonder what the author was trying to say. There, that's why people who abbreviate are lazy and inconsiderate. Whoo, I feel better!
I realize many of you have Type Alpha personalities and want what you want RIGHT NOW. I don't arbitrarily delete messages. So I will get around to them. If I have questions or disagreements I will respond.

Hello ~ I think your close-up shot of this grave marker proves that Charles middle initial is an "F" rather than an "E".
But my personal opinion aside, his draft registration shows his middle name is Fredrick.
Thanks for making this correction ~ Jo C

May I use the photograph of the grave marker that you contributed to the Find-A Grave Memorial for Jefferson Knapp, to be posted on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
You will receive the credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

who are the 4 people in the photo? The Indian lady...is that one on the right Polly Anne Fowler Hensley?
Since his father's death, my son-in-law, Michael Sean (Sean) Hensley, is wanting to search for his family roots. Sean's father was Larry Mearl Hensley, his grandfather was Mearl Thomas Hensley who died in 1972 Chicago, Illinois. He was a gangster or motorcycle gang member or something. I think he was shot. Mearl's father was William Alfred Hensley. Sean's dad told him that before he died.
We heard that William Alfred's parents were John Thomas Hensley and Nancy Elizabeth "Bettie" Upton, but we know that Sean has a lot of Indian blood. Sean's father, Larry Mearl Hensley, was very Indian-looking. with a dark complexion, he couldn't grow a beard, had high cheekbones, black eyes, really black hair.
We were intrigued when we saw that photo you submitted. Since Polly was full blooded Cherokee and that photo of the guy in front of her looks just like Sean's dad, we are wondering if they aren't related somehow. Could it be the same John Thomas Hensley? Was your John Thomas married more than once? Do you know who his parents were? I have that they were James M. Hensley and Frances Jane Brown. Is any of this sounding familiar to you?

Would it be possible for you to transfer my great-grandfather's memorial to me? And my great-grandmother, Martha Catherine Anderson Lingo #7369450 as well? There are some changes I'd like to make and photos I'd like to add of them.
Thank you for considering my request.

Is there any reason why you haven't added his obituary to his bio field? I've sent it to you along with a couple of other tweaks that I used the edit tab for.
I carefully removed the names of all his living relatives before sending it to you per Find A Grave rules.

he is no relation to Sarah Pence Snyder. You have added Him as her husband. her husband died in KY and is buried there.
|Autumn Beall||J.P. Fleenor|
I was looking at the info under J.P. Fleenor's headstone at the Confederate Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. You have listed he has a wife and child. His application for entering the home states that he has no family. Was wandering where you go your information. I am researching him at this time as he is most likely a distant cousin

Hi, I noticed you have taken a few photographs at Hampton Cemetery. I have had open photo requests for Daniel and Annie King since March 2016 and no one has fulfilled it yet. I was wondering if you would mind taking the photograph for me. I would really appreciate it. Thank You for your consideration.
