Bio Photo A native of Trenton, Grundy County, Missouri. I have had an interest in genealogy and cemeteries for many years.

My family history in Grundy County dates back to 1838. My family includes, maternal surnames Whitney/Metcalf and paternal surnames , Griffin/Roberts.

I grew up in the Edinburg community, Grundy County, Missouri. Most of my family still reside in Grundy County. I have lived in Dallas, Tx, and in Missouri, Cameron, Excelsior Springs before moving to Chillicothe. This past February I moved back to Trenton.

CARRIE BOND HATFIELD, 95, passed away Monday, October 29, 2001. She was born in Waynesboro, MS to George and Minnie Bond. Carrie participated with Meals on Wheels, volunteered at the Bargain Counter and later at the Sunshine Shop. She enjoyed poker and bowling. Mrs. Hatfield was preceded in death by her husband Metcalf Hatfield, her sister Nora Rushan, sisters-in-law, Nettie Todd, Nina Hatfield, and Vevi Hatfield and brother-in-law, Noel Hatfield. She is survived by nieces, Janice A. Wallace, Betty L. Wilroy, and Patsy Key, and nephew, Shirley A. LeBlanc. Also surviving her are her 7 great nieces, Mindy K. Burr, Sandy Whistler, Debbie Wynne, Linda LeBlanc, Mickey Yarborough, Ava L. Sims, and Tricia Key; her 3 great nephews, Rex A. Wilroy, Brent T. Wallace, and David Key; her 3 great great nieces, Lindsey Burr, Michelle Lark, and Christina Wilroy; her 7 great great nephews, Britton Burr, Dillon Burr, Chris Yarborough, Clay Yarborough, Kebin Wynne, Leslie Wynne, and Clark Whistler; and her 2 great great nieces. She has several lifelong friends who will dearly miss her, Walter and Pat Raymond; their son, Burke Raymond and his wife Mary, their son, John and daughter, Holly Aguilar and Holly's children, Mia and Logan Aguilar. Walter & Pat's daughter, Joan Lawson, her sons, Charles and Christopher, and Christopher's children, Hannah & Hailey, Joan's daughter, Lori Tillman, and Lori's children, Michael and Madeline. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM Thursday, November 1, 2001, with funeral services following in the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.

Yes, she is in my family tree distant in my Bond family line. Everyone in my tree is family to me. I had to grow up in another state and didn't get to know any of my true family. I have learned about them by cemeteries and obituaries, and for each one I add to my tree, I love them all. Thank you for putting Carrie and her husband on Find-a-Grave.
