Bio and Links
Bio Photo Find a Grave has been a great resource for freely sharing information among researchers. I am rather concerned that will figure out a way to screw it all up like they have with RootsWeb. I would like to think that they learned their lesson from all the negative publicity they received in that earlier takeover, but they are so focused on the Almighty Dollar that it's hard to predict -- their corporate greed overwhelms both their common sense and common decency. If they begin to charge or otherwise restrict access (mandatory registration or tracking cookies) in order to view the photos and data that have been freely donated by millions of volunteers, I know that I will immediately delete any of the items that I still have control over.

You may freely use any of the grave photos which I have taken for any legal purpose. The other items (personal photos, obits and other documents) may have copyright restrictions of which I am unaware, so use your own best judgement on those.

Galen Stanturf
Thanks for posting his obituary. I am looking for all the Stanturf obits that I can find in Oregon as they are cousins of mine.
Thanks again
Chris Stanturf

Richard A. Farrington
"Dickie" which is written on his childhood photo (handsome)is the Great Grandson of John Farrington. Richard Pratt is my mother's cousin. Would like to save this memorial for closer family member! My grandfather always talked about his family and gave me the bug to further research.

Loved your comment about Richard being your teacher and principal. Adds interest to my research. I was surprised to see that he was raised by his step mother, Helen. Census records show him living with his grandparents in 1940; not Richard P. and Helen.

Just might add his childhood photo with brother "Johnnie".

Can't thank you enough! Susan

IOOF Cemetery ~ Richard A. Farrington
I want to thank you for adding the memorial for Richard Alvin Farrington. With the passing of my mother, I inherited pictures that now have a connection to wonderful family who made the world a better place.

Your kindness and service to many is Sincerely Appreciated. Susan

RE: Lebanon IOOF/Masonic burials
Hi Bob, I went through the old books and checked the Masonic sections grave by grave and I did not find the Sloans. Sorry, Judi

RE: Peter McGee photo request
Not a problem, I have not had an opportunity to head back over to the graveyard, so I have not gotten stumped looking for them both. :)

Sunnyslope Cemetery
Sunnyslope has the worst property management team there and must hate Genealogy, because like the person trying to fulfill your picture request said, "Manager of cemetery states for privacy of family they refuse to allow persons to photograph the headstones even when requested on the Find A Grave site. Requires proof of family relationship be faxed to office then they will allow the family member to come and take photo. Refuses to tell me where anyone is buried specifically."

But the Corona genealogy society did a walk and had documented, photographed and made a book of results.
Here is the link to the page on that page is a link to request pictures.

No luck on Ben, but I think that Mrs. Mary Sloan was Mary McLaughlin, widow of Ambrose Sloan. His obituary says they were only married a few weeks prior to his death in 1871. Ben and Mary divorced in 1876. I would need to track that down to confirm that this is the right Mary.
