RE: Alice Eva
Yes, Eveline Alice "Eva" Watson, married Ephraim McDowell, Jan 15, 1874, Grayson Co TX. They had four known children, only 2 that I have found living, at the time, Alice Eva "Allie", W R?, John Shelby and Christine "Crissie"? McDowell, W R and Crissie are still a mystery to me.

Ephraim was the son of William Wallace & Mary B [Hall] McDowell, all born in KY. Have not found his burial site, he died before 1900.

Eva was the daughter of Rodger & Ann [Nix] Watson, granddaughter of John Clemmons & Sarah A "Sally" [Howard] Nix. John died in SC, Sarah, a frontier woman, brought her daughters and one son to Texas, Sarah is the first white settler to build a homestead in Texarkana AR.

The Nix's arrived with my 3xGr granddad, Elias White in 1846, Bowie Co TX, The White and Nix's were neighbors in Union County SC, when they re did the TX/AR border, the Nix's ended up on the Texarkana AR side, and the White's on the Texarkana Bowie Co TX side. My 2xGr Graddad was Ben White who married Polly Nix, my Nix connection.

Ephraim & Eve Allie, lived in Grayson Co TX, where Ephraim 1st appeared on the Tax Rolls, from 1873 to 1877. They are living with Eva's parents in 1880 in Grayson. In 1900, Eva Alice McDowell is living with her parents in Eastland Co TX, we do not know what happened to Ephraim, or where he died.

Theron, my name is Phyllis Curry, married to Pat Curry who descends from Anna Tunnell on his mothers side. I have some photos that I have always thought were Tunnells. I tried your email but it didn't work. Would like to send these to you to see if you could identify these photos. Its been about 15 years since I have been into genealogy,I came across the Find A Grave and have already found some graves. Getting pulled back in. LOL

Galena Cemetery
Thank you so much for the pictures and info. Catherine Self is my 4th great grandmother and buried in Galena Cemetery. I don't know how you got these pictures but am grateful. I have looked many times for this cemetery and even stopped and talked to an old-timer who was sitting on his porch (on FM 1995) and he told me that what remains of it was on private property. My sister and I have traveled all those roads many times looking for all the old homesteads & visiting Marvin's Chapel Cemetery. I take pictures for Find A Grave as well when time permits and know the effort it takes to contribute. Your work is much appreciated.

Tunnell Graves at Jefferson Memorial Gardens
I checked Find A Grave for other Tunnell's buried at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East but found only this one listed. May I suggest that you contact the Jefferson Memorial Gardens East at 205-322-0543 to see if they show any other Tunnell's buried there. There could be more persons by this name buried there but just not added to Find A Grave data base. Please let me know if you would like for me to add them to Find A Grave. When you call them please get the name of the garden and plot and space number and I'll be happy to take photos. There are more then 21 gardens at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East (this cemetery is huge!)so it would be impossible to locate their grave sites without exact location information.
I look forward to hearing back from you.
