My wife and I have had the genealogy "bug" for more than 40 years. Since retirement, about 20 years ago, it has been almost a full time job (or obsession.) Since we have gathered more than 32,500 names in our data base, new finds are getting harder and harder to find.|
Our latest endeavor, for about 15 years, has been adding photographs to our data base and to Find A Grave. During this time we have traveled literally tens of thousands of miles, covering states from Maine to Kansas, looking for those elusive pieces of granite, sandstone, marble and even homemade cement markers.
On this note I would be glad to make corrections, additions, relationship links, etc. upon request. I will also be glad to transfer management of a memorial according to the following guidelines by Find A Grave.
"Transfer requests should be for DIRECT RELATIVES WITHIN FOUR GENERATIONS, THIS WOULD BE YOUR SIBLINGS, PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, AND GREAT-GRANDPARENTS. Keep in mind that the original contributor may also be related the the memorial and may not want to make the transfer. You may certainly request the transfer of memorials beyond the four generations, but the original contributor may choose not to transfer (the original contributor should not make any corrections and add any additional information you may have for that memorial, such as links to parents and spouses).
Also, please provide memorial numbers for those transfers you are requesting and your relationship with them.
UPDATE: As Ken is no longer able to do memorials for FAG, I am going to try my best to continue with this work he enjoyed so much. If you have questions, please contact me.

Thanks so much for the connection of Sarah to her father. The Old Monticello Cemetery is in the best shape it could be. Lots of damage years ago. We have several family members there whose stones are gone. My cousin, Ed Williams, helps take care of the place.

I honestly do not know if Charles is buried with his parents at Union Cemetery. I do not have cemetery records for this cemetery but have pretty much photographed the entire thing. I will ask Joe Chrisman if Charles is interred there. I believe he has access to the records.

Thanks so much for the transfer. All the best to you. -Joe Klett
Hi Ruth, links are all done for you. No problem hon. I'm sorry your husband isn't able to do what he loves. I wouldn't like it, if I couldn't, either. If I have any of your kin, I would happily transfer. May God bless you and your family.
