|I am just having fun finding family headstones throughout the country. |
I am particularly interested in 'linking' various family members together on find-a-grave.
If I have created a memorial for a family member of yours and the information is incorrect, I am more than happy to correct.

Thanks for the input. I also added their obituaries.
|Mary Brennan||photo request for Black Oak Cemetery|
The listing for Black Oak Cemetery which is on here is for the old cemetery which is now under water. Santee Cooper Project did an inventory of each cemetery that would be affected by the project and made a book of them. I have copied some of those pages.
All those that you are looking for had either the tombstone or tombstone & remains moved to St. Stephen's Episcopal Churchyard in St. Stephen's.
Are you related to the Porcher's? I am related to some of them by marriage. I have been very interested in the formation of the lakes and the plantations and people that it affected. I am trying to get as much info as I can on all those.
I have a copy of Sunken Plantations.
If I can help you with anything, I live in Summerville.

Hey Eric --
I went to Westover today to pick up your photo requests for Gordon, Alex and Ada. I asked them to check the book to see if anyone was buried next to Gordon or if Mary was anywhere in the Cemetery. The Kelly plot has 10 locations for burials, but only 3 have been used. I also asked them to check for Mary Eidson and Mary Edison and while there are 8 Eidson's buried at Westover, non were Mary.

Will be declined.
Memorial contributions to Find A Grave must fulfill that mission - registration of the final disposition. If the memorial contribution corresponds with only the main mission, then the memorial fulfills its purpose as part of Find A Grave's mission.
The memorials for the parents are burial unknown. Therefore, they do not meet the purpose of FindAGrave. FindAGrave is not a family tree linking site. There are other sites established for that purpose.

My information came from the burial records of St. Philips. As I understand it the memorial that's first in the correct cemetery is the one that remains. I posed that question to the forum at Find a Grave and that's what I was told.

You sent me links for his parents. Is he related to you? I'm happy to transfer, or to delete since he's still living. I added him because there is a stone for him in the cemetery.
You've sent me lots of good edits and I appreciate them all. Always happy to transfer any you want.

Eric, I made the edits and transferred Comer to you. I have no connection to him or his family - I have some 200 year old connections to a family in that cemetery and I just happened to walk the rows there one low bug day.
