What a great site to keep the memories of our beloved family members and ancestors alive! A great research tool and connections to others who just may be related to you. |
I am researching on my husbands side: Neal, Neel, Morgan, Roland/Rowland, Rose, and Sias.
I am researching on my side: Werner, Veselovsky, Craig, Feeley, Carlucci, Poveromo, Paccione, Stragapede, Villari, and Hodack.
What saddens me is the amount of "hoarding" of memorials I continue to run across on FAG! I understand there are "guidelines" which have been set. However, a person should not be made to feel like they are getting teeth pulled to have a memorial transferred to them! Members know darn well, if a person they entered is related to them or not. Holding on to a memorial and hiding behind the guidelines to do so is outrageous.
The hard and tedious work put in to enter those memorials are greatly appreciated, but this site is to remember and honor those who have passed, not to have a tug of war and give astronomical amounts a proof on where the person falls on your tree.
Any photos I have posted may be used on other websites. Any memorial I have entered, which my husband or I are not related, I will be more than happy to transfer.

Thanks for getting the location. By the section (55) I know it is Calvary #2. I can only do Calvary 1 (there are 4 Calvaries). However, now that you have included all the necessary info, someone should pick it up soon.
Wow. Really liked your profile. I could not agree with you more. Keep up the good work!
|Patricia O||Just wanted you to know . . .|
Read your profile and loved it! I agree with you 100% about the transfer of memorials as well as the use of pictures. Most volunteers and contributors are great and will go the extra mile to help - and then there are the 'others' who seem to think they are competing with everyone else. It's people like you who help people like me, as well as help to make findagrave the great resource that it is. Thank you.

I looked at some of the Mullins and I am related to the Mullins , as my grandfather was a Mullins. I would check Ancestry and add these to my Tree and try to link them to families. All Mullins in Virginia , Kentucky and West Virginia are related.
I am related to some of the Matneys you have listed , Stewart Matney is my 4th cousin , and I can link him to his parents.
The Riffe family ties somewhere into the Rife family , just a different spelling.
I did not have the Vandyke man listed , but all Vandykes in this area , are related.

I am researching Marrs , Mullins , Vandyke primarily. I also research Matney , Ward , Rife and related families.
I usually do not take memorials , not related to me. I hope some family member will find it and want to take care of it.
I have found many memorials , not linked to their families and I strive to link them. Some people do not have Ancestry and findagrave is a great resource.

I have been trying to find where Zella is buried , no luck.
Naoman Dawson Jr. has a marker in Michigan , where his wife is buried. No record of him buried there , his obituary doesn't say.
