I have a great love for nature and photography. I have entered many family and friends on this site as well as randomly going through nationwide newspapers obituaries. It was through this site that I found out that my long lost uncle had passed away. That's what prompted me to start adding names, to help someone else along the way. Although I don't know how my uncle passed away, at least I know where his body rests. |
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4

|Nancy E. (Nancy Jean) Graves||RE: Esther Ensley|
I am hoping that you are speaking of Esther Ensley and her spouse, Forest Ensley. I found them on Billion Graves in that Cemetery at that address. Asking you was a shot in the dark, I noticed that you had taken the photo of the Entrance, that is why I contacted you. I will check again. Thank you for the info. Any information, whether good or bad is better than no information at all. Thank you for your response and the heads-up on possible incorrect interment location.

I got your name off the face page of Mountain View Memorial Gardens as having taken the picture of the entrance. I am hoping that you might be of some assistance. I do not know how far you live from that Cemetery, but would appreciate it if you could find out what the burial location of Esther Ensley. I would like to request a gravestone photo, and do not want to call the Cemetery-long distance. I live in Clark County, Ohio and not lazy, but if you are close enough to call, to find out, I could then request that photo including a burial location. Thank you for any assistance you can give.

The reason I used the LaBarge name is because I was looking in every cemetery in northern Calif. for my aunt & uncle. I found my cousin in the Napa cemetery and could not even image that her mom and dad were not with her, unless she buried them on their 35 acre farm.... So I called the same mortuary and the wonderful man said, Yes they were there and that the F-a-g Volunteers are the ones that put the names on the site and that the cemetery has absolutely nothing to do with it. so about only 75% of this cemetery has been done. I asked him for a list of the people buried there so I could volunteer to key in the rest from his records but I have not heard back. Keep your fingers crossed.

Thank you so much for the encouraging words, "to add as much or as little info". and one other person said, "this site is for the living, not the dead."
I totally agree, the memorial's, I think when there is a bio, makes the person we are honoring come to life again. They aren't just cold slabs of marble with names and dates, we link them to parents-children-spouses- siblings.
|Terry Collins||RE: Harless Cemetery - East Lynn, W.Va.|
Thank you for your response regarding the Harless Cemetery (or cemeteries - grin). I did read several of the obituaries, and they all say "Harless Cemetery, East Lynn", alright. I'll go with the one you have online. If it turns out to be incorrect, I'm sure someone will come along and let me know.
I thank you again for helping me; and for helping us all with the amazingly enormous volume of work you've done on Find-A-Grave.
Have a swell late summer night, my friend!
Most Very Sincerely,
|Terry Collins||Harless Cemetery - East Lynn, W.Va.|
You have Joshua Harless interred in the Harless Cemetery in East Lynn, Wayne County, West Virginia. The map for this cemetery on Find-A-Grave show a Harless Cemetery near Genoa, which is a bit far from East Lynn.
Is there another Harless Cemetery that is close to East Lynn or is the one shown to be near Genoa the same one? I was at the one near Genoa (on the west side of Rt.152), but did not see the resting place of Joshua Harless.
So, I was wondering if I somehow missed his grave-site, as well as his brother's), or if there are two Harless Cemeteries in that general area.
I have a few memorials to add to the Harless Cemetery, but it is not in East Lynn, although it is the one on the Find-A-Grave map of that cemetery. I just didn't want to put the memorials in the wrong cemetery, so that is why I'm checking with you.
I thank you for your time and help, Serenity.
I hope your summer has been going quite well.
|carole taylor puntenney||RE: thank you|
that is so wonderful. I have been feeling like someone was going to "yell" at me for putting not proven info on the site. I didn't think I should fill the site with just family names without knowing where they were buried.
thank you again. and I will add some more ancestors until someone tells me to stop. "If you could help." sounds great but I am sure you don't have time and probably have as many block walls as I do.
|carole taylor puntenney||thank you|
it looks like you are doing all of us gene-buffs a great service. I too am adding names of my family both close and distant. IF I have the info. or some info.. question? doesn't look like you actually know where Charles Manis is buried, right? so do you think it would be ok if I added my brother, who has passed but is not buried, his wife cremated him and she still has him on her mantel.
so this is just a memorial so other people know about him. that is nice.
I thought I would add my brother with my Mom and Dad's cemetery.
|John Craven||William Gaul|
Would you please transfer the management of William Gaul # 12282202 to me. William is my cousin and the memorial list the wrong cemetery in Scranton. Thanks so much for creating it.
