First I want to say a big "thank you" to everyone who leaves my twins and family tokens, I am very grateful. |
My dad died in 1972 when I was 9 days old and to this day I have not been able to find his resting place which is why I do what I'm doing here as I know how hard it is to find a loved one's resting place.
I can go to cemeteries in Enfield, Edmonton, Cheshunt, Chingford, Clacton, Colchester, Feltham, Heathrow, Waltham Abbey, Walthamstow and areas around them, maybe I can go further out, all depends how far. I can help with your searching for your loved ones grave in England if your not in England. I can also help with any research you may want help with in the same areas or in the UK if you are from a different country. I have the National Burial Index, second edition and will get the third when it is available, so if you would like me to do a look up, then just ask and I will quite happily.
If there is a memorial I have done for a loved one of your family and you would like it removed/changed or transfered then please email me and I will do it for you, or if there is any mistakes or anything else wrong with a memorial I have done please let me know.
A noteworthy inscription found on a soldier’s headstone in an English country churchyard reads:
Take nothing but photographs
Kill nothing but time
Leave nothing but Footprints
All My Ancestors Are Behind Me.
"Be Still," They Say.
"Watch And Listen.
You Are The Result Of
The Love of Thousands"

I found a headstone in Ancrum graveyard but the date of death is 9th July 1919. Father David Shiell and mother is Helen Shiell. Is this the one??

I saw the photos that you posted from yesterday.
Thank you so much.
I have forwarded them on to my mother.
I appreciate your kindness and willingness to make the effort.

Hello, I was curious as to what you meant by Maccabee's page? Does he have a ink to something else? As I have been getting Berkshire Regiment for another member on find a grave. regards DB

I just received an email from the findagrave admin. They removed the one photo so there is one spot available. That was a fast one day turnover for my request. Thank you again for the photos and yes, if you took a few more, I would love to have a copy of them. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you again! Jamie

|DIMITRIOS CORCODILOS||RE: Deuchar|
I was curious when I noticed that husband and wife had died less than a week apart, and decided to investigate.
I had quite a fruitful time on Saturday, visiting both Corbridge and Hexham. I was pleased to fulfil two of your requests [only about five miles apart] as well as finding some interesting memorials to add to Find A Grave.

Hello, glad to be of help with the Maccabee photo. Can I ask, you have photo requests for military related headstones, as I am always interested in the link. I have a military history background and researching some specific soldiers, how I slipped into find a grave.

Thank you for taking his headstone photo. I wish I was still living in England to be able to take a photo during Memorial Day. I am sure it was a beautiful cemetery all decorated with American flags. I will send admin a request to remove one of the photos. Once this happens, I will send you an email....these requests tend to take 2-3 weeks for some reason. Thank you, thank you, thank you again. Best regards, Jamie

"RE: The Mr Packer:
My family knew several of the soldiers -- 17 came from Jersey City NJ. I found the resting places of Conrad Propp and Deevey for another uncle who was child hood friends with my uncle Lawrence and Propp and Deevey. I have an article somewhere -- the same type of memorial as at Sherborne was erected in Jersey City. I'll send it when I have had a chance to find it. Tom Wolters"
"Thank You Mr Packer.
I especially appreciate the account of the event. That was always shrouded in some mystery in my family.I looked forward to maintaining his memorial. Tom Wolters"
