Requesting a transfer through the Edit feature insures that no mistakes are made. I manage too many memorials to research each one. If I find out later that an edit sent to me is not accurate, I may change it. I do not transfer to "Anonymous" nor do I do edits from them, without some explanation of the source of the information.
I love to see the memorials come alive with biographies and family history....and photos of our loved ones. I just LOVE it when I can help someone!!!
I have been researching some of my families since about 1978.
My grandmother went to cemeteries with me, and once said she would like the following to be on her stone: "WE LIVED TOGETHER, WE LOVED TOGETHER AND NOW WE REST TOGETHER". I Just fulfilled that request!!!!
PHOTOS: PLEASE GIVE CREDIT FOR MY PHOTOS THAT IS HERE ON FIND-A-GRAVE IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. I TAKE PHOTOS TO SHARE----NOT TO KEEP AS MY OWN. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO USE THEM, PREFERABLY WITH CREDIT.
I recorded and submitted the ORIANA CEMETERY, near Peacock, Stonewall Co., Texas in about 1986, which can be found on the internet by doing a search. (It was possibly submitted to interment.net)
The Oriana Cemetery at findagrave is here.
"A person's life was more than the dash between years...." That dash represents your entire life and we need to live it wisely.
Why I research and why I work with Find-A-Grave:
THEY DESERVE TO BE REMEMBERED AND RECORDED!
The names and dates on the stones represent a life lived. These people aren't just names on a stone---they once lived, laughed, loved, were happy and sad, shed real tears, endured pain.
They sometimes endured pain to the end, and they deserve to be remembered == not as names and dates on a stone, but as REAL, LIVE, LOVED people who had a story to tell! Some of them raised children, and some didn't. Some died way too young or as children. There is a story between those dates that you see on the stones. That is why I will research them and record it as best as I can, and SHARE IT HERE ONLINE WHEN I CAN.
“Every time you feel the warm air on your skin, know that I am kissing you gently and whispering that I love you.”
PLEASE DO SEND A MESSAGE TO ME IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR SOMETHING NICE TO SAY!

Thank you Nancy. Are you related to the Brickey/Pate families? I wondered whether we were cousins or if instead you are genealogy researcher.
|Lisa Lambdin||RE: Margaret Alice Brickey|
Good question. My mom is France's Brickey Lambdin. Her dad was Luther O. Brickey,. Her grandfather was James Nathaniel Brickey who was married to my mom's grandmother, Ida Pate Brickey. Both James and Ida are buried in the Hutchinson Eastside cemetery. We have visited their graves and the grave of Margaret Alice Brickey.
James Brickey's parents were Robert Brickey and Margaret Alice Pate Brickey. I have a copy of their marriage bond. And I have a copy of James' death certificate which lists both of his parents, as Robert and Margaret Pate Brickey.
Mom told me that Margaret, her great grandmother, was buried in the same cemetery as her grandpa James and grandmother, Ida. The years on the grave marker match.
Right now I don't any other document about Margaret Alice Brickey, but I'll ask mom.

I believe that Margaret Alice Pate Brickey is the same person as Margaret Alice Brickey as year of birth and death match. She married to Robert Brickey. I can not find any grave for her husband Robert Brickey. Do you know where he was buried?
