Bio and Links
Bio Photo Findagrave has a wonderful feature that allows memorial holders to update many requests at a time, but only if done via the Edit tab --- so please try that before leaving information on the profile page! This feature is a true blessing.

Please keep your requests via the "other" information option to a minimum, as the workload has become unsustainable.

Over zealous senders may find theirs deleted. Hope they switch to messages via flowers. Thank you.

Obits under copyright should be summarized and will not be posted, so please do not send them. In most cases, there is a 72-year or longer time period.

If you wish to download one of my tombstone pictures, you may do so for personal usage and should give proper credit. Under no circumstances should they be added to other sites (such as Ancestry) as if they are your own.

Photographs of individuals require PERMISSION, and if lifted from here without appropriate permission or credit are subject to licensing fees.

Please follow Findagrave guidelines to be within a few generations and a direct descendant. For older ones, please communicate the reason.

As the number of memorials I manage increases, I sometimes elect to transfer without being asked. If you received a transfer and do not wish to manage it, please transfer back.

RE: Abner Sparks memorial # 159366453
Thank you, Mary (are you also Mary, or was that your mother's name?)

I believe AngelTowes put a flower sticker on this memorial with a note that Abner was probably moved to Harleigh Cemetery. It seems that, according to the obituary posted on this memorial, he was originally interred in Evergreen Cemetery, where his brother, David H Sparks, is also buried. But, AngelTowes has a picture of Abner's monument at Harleigh Cemetery with his wife, Amelia Coley/Cooley. Their names are inscribed on the monument with the identical birth and death dates posted on your mother's memorial for him.

Thank you for the transfer. I will see what I can do.

Sophia Hanks at Cecdar Grove
Hi Mary, I have photographed all the stones on the Manwell plot 741 at Cedar Grove and will have them up soon. Sophia is there as well as all the Manwell's listed for Cedar Grove on Find a Grave except the James C who died in 1895. He is not in the CG list either. Only 2 Freeman's listed Jacquelyn Heath Freeman 1956-1958 and Mabel Jones Freeman 1917-1961. If you request I'll see if I can find them. There are no Ciornells listed in Cedar Grove. Hope this helps. Doug

William Crassant Memorial #63447745
Hi Mary,

Would you please transfer the Memorial of William Crassant to us? He is our grandfather's uncle who we have been searching quite some time for. It would really mean a lot to us and our family.

Thank you,

Debbie & Cathy

Abner Sparks memorial # 159366453
Hi, Mary,

I sent you a SAC about the memorial above, managed by AngelTowes. Would you please look at it? We are wondering if Abner was originally interred at Evergreen (where his brother, David, is buried), but later was moved to Harleigh Cemetery after Abner's wife, Amy Cooley died. AngelTowes has located the monument with Abner's and Amy's birth and death dates and their names engraved on it in Harleigh Cemetery.

Do you have some sort of record by a church or by Evergreen Cemetery that says that Abner was (originally) buried there? I know the obituary said he was to be buried at Evergreen, but it looks like he is no longer there.

Herrington Karl Alfred seeking info

Do you know of any way of finding out additional info Re: Alfred Herrington from cemetery info you have been exposed to re: Woodlawn Cemetery, Fort Lauderdale. My mother in law has been looking for info re her father Karl Alfred Herrington (known to go by both 1st & 2nd names). Divorced her mother when she was young...b date may be 16 Jul 1909, in Ontario Canada. Parents Wm Herrington & Alice Scrimshaw. I do not know the year he died except she heard it was on a boat in Florida area in the 70's (?), he had another wife, and he may have not had a great deal of money.

Any leads by you or others as to how I can find more info would be appreciated. The Herrington spelling of the name is somewhat unusual as compared to Harrington.

you have recorded-

Joseph Jost "Yost" Hiester
Hello Mary,
If you are not a direct descendant of Yost, may I request you transfer this memorial to me as he was my 5xgreat-grandfather? If you are his descendant - I respect that and can provide significant information to better flush-out the life of our common ancestor. I continue to do significant research in Germany on the Hiester/Hüster lineage and have documentation clarifying the details of his birth parents - if you email me, I can provide sourced documentation with details. Best Regards, Harriet Hiester Girdley
