|Reg Thompson||Parsons Family!|
I was glad to hear from you. I'm Great Grandson of Mary Elfie (Parsons) Thomas. Who was the first wife of Francis Marion Thomas. She died at age 39. She buried in Dallas, Iowa.
Simon Peter Parsons was a martyr in Major's Land War of Marion Co., in 1851. He was capture, and kill by Majors family. I have been trying to get this information on memorial but the person who manages it. Will not add it !!! It is in the Marion Co. History books.
Also grave of Simon Peter Parsons, and his wife, is in such bad shape. The Ladies, and I, who put the pictures of his grave on his Memorial. Have been trying to get it protected from the cattle running all over it, and breaking down the stone wall. With out much luck!
Also the Parsons family go back about five more generation into Maryland.
I hope to hear from again, and hope you had good Christmas, and New Year!!
