Researching the Attell and Tomsky families of San Francisco, California. First became interested in grave hunting when I went off by myself, away from my tour group, to find Henrik Ibsen's grave in Oslo, Norway, in 1993. I found out about Find-A-Grave a short time later and began posting photos of both the famous and my family (and famous family -- Abe and Monte Attell are brothers of my great-grandfather Caesar). Visiting famous graves during vacations has now become a hobby, especially graves of authors -- Ibsen, William Wordsworth, Franz Kafka. I don't consider a vacation complete until I find at least one famous grave. And if I have to go off on my own to find it, so much the better.|
My most recent project, while I was attending school in the Boston area, was to visit all of the graves of the British and American soldiers and civilians killed during the hostilities of the ever memorable April 19, 1775, the first day of the American Revolution. To see the results of my search, please click on the website link below or my "Shot Heard 'Round the World" virtual cemetery.
If you send me an email, please put the words FIND A GRAVE (in big letters) in the subject line so that I can pick it out from among all the spam. "I don't like Spam!!!"

My pleasure, it is always my goal to put these memorials with a family member. I hope you can find out more about the baby.

Thank you for clearing up the vitals for this memorial. I have not been to the cemetery myself so I don't know if the grave has a marker or not.
Would you like this transferred to you? Id so send me a request through the memorial.

This pertains to the site with those who died April 19h, 1775. I believe there are several for Whitney and Ladd, they both died April 19, 1875, 100 yrs. later and in another war. Were you aware of this?
I was in the Old Lexington Cemetery today, and found a new marker, for the 8 British soldiers, but it isn't on your site. I live in Lowell, so I picked up immediately about Ladd and Whitney. Thank you.
