It was never my intention to add anything about myself on this page.|
However I will say a little.
I am an avid researcher into my family history & have over 19,700 persons listed being family members and members of related families. I have been researching for over 30 years.
I am a full member of a Returned Services Club having completed National Service with the RAAF but I do NOT claim to be a Returned Serviceman.
Due to an incident in late March 2013 I very nearly terminated my membership of FAG and did in fact transfer and deleted over 1,100 memorials. The matter was over the listing of memorials on FAG where the burial was listed as unknown.
All my unknown burials are made up of individuals from a few hours old to adults but they are all listed with a birth or death date or both and are all listed with other members of their family. These memorials will remain on my site until such time that they are PROHIBITED by FAG who have the means to stop recording them.
A number of memorials were for Servicemen who had given their lives in the service of their country and their graves were unknown.
This member maintains that these unknown burials do not under any circumstances belong on FAG. I am not of this opinion and quote a listing on FAG: LE TOURET MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais,France. This Memorial contains the names of 13,190 men who died on the battlefield prior to 25 September 1915. All have unknown graves. One of my family a Robert Oversby who died on 15.6.1915 was aged 17 years has no known grave and is listed on this memorial.
FAG Also lists another memorial in France that contains 62,960 servicemen and all are recorded with no known graves.A family member Joseph Oversby who died on 16.1.1916 is recorded on the Thiepval Memorial in France.
I am now reinstating the memorials I had deleted and intend adding many more.
I am of the opinion that FAG is a good site and will continue to use same.

can you give me some Find A Grave # please
|DUVCW||RICHARD T PASCOE|
I maintain all of the burials at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans Cemetery. I add all of the current burials too.
I am unable to find any record for Richard T Pascoe in all of the files that I have.
Could he be in a different cemetery ?

Thanks very much for adding that date difference note to Eliza's bio, Ken! :o)

Thanks, Ken, what a fantastic website I had never run into before. I'll have great use for it with many of my husband's relatives and a few of mine having lived in Michigan! As for Eliza, might you please add a note to her bio regarding the date difference between the headstone and the death certificate? It will definitely explain that "problem" and help out researchers. :o)
Again, thanks for all your generous work on Find A Grave.
Thank you for the information, much appreciated!
