|John Otto||Otto Family Memorials 138873400 & 138873444|
I did not think to look at these memorials when I sent the big thank you for the great photo you took of the headstones for my 2nd great grandparents, John Frederick and Mary (nee Rohlfing) Otto-Johns (memorials 138873444 and 138662257). I am in the process of linking the Otto family on Findagrave. The memorials for George Andrew and Wilhelmina Elisabeth (nee Karch) Otto were the first on my list to check. That's when I was totally surprised by the headstone photo you took in Feb. I owe you another huge thank you. This headstone honors my 3rd great grandparents. Andrew and Wilhelmina made the decision to emigrate and left Germany with their five children in 1852. And so began the story of my Otto family in the US.
I also see that you took at least two other great photos in Feb, one of the headstone for Barbara Depkin (nee Otto) and her husband Ernest A (memorials 158575316 and 158575335) and the other of the headstones for George T W & Mary C Otto (memorials 138878925 and 138897762). Also, in 2014, you took photos of the flat gravestones for G. Andrew Otto and Eva K (nee Dressel) Otto (memorials 136324267 and 136324250). George T W was the oldest child, followed by my 2nd great grandfather John Frederick Otto. G. Andrew Otto was third and Barbara was fourth. There was a fifth chid, Peter M Otto (1849-1887), but I have not confirmed his burial location. He died about 10 mos after his oldest brother. Peter was married to Wilhelmina "Minnie" Otto (memorial 174001093) and they had three children. According to her notice of death she is buried at Baltimore Cemetery, but I don't know where. I assume she and Peter are together. She was later married to John H Sieber for 2 or 3 years before he died. They had no children. All known locations of Otto family burials are in Plot EE except for G. Andrew and his wife Eva who are in Plot NN, so I would guess that Plot EE is the most likely location for Peter and possibly his wife Minnie.
You have made my year with these photos.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday. I have already received my best gifts.

|John Otto||RE: Photo on memorial 138662257 for Mary Johns|
Thank you Laura. Also, thank you very much for the great photo. I knew the cemetery, but I had no idea that the headstones existed.
Just to let you know, finding and learning about my 2nd great grandparents has been the highlight of my research since I started looking about 12 years ago. So the photo means a lot to me.
You do a lot of wonderful work in the Baltimore area (where I was born), and I have often relied on your information. I have chosen to focus on my family tree, but it is filled with information originally found by big-volume contributors to FindAGrave like yourself. Thank you for the 7000+ memorials you have created and the 9000+ photos you have contributed.

My original Findagrave memorial for John Frederick Otto, first husband of Mary C (nee Rohlfing) [Otto] Johns and father of her children, was somehow incorrectly merged with another memorial. I had to recreate it and would appreciate it if you would add a copy of the cemetery photo you placed on memorial 138662257 to the new memorial 172773654 for John F Otto.

|J Dobrowolski||Hugh & Virginia Larkin|
Thank you so much for adding the picture and memorial for Hugh and Virginia Larkin! I have been searching for his information for a long time.
|John Otto||Otto Family|
Just saw are your 24 Feb 2016 Edit updates for the Otto family. I don't call up my Findagrave account that often, and when I do I rarely click on the Edit tab to see what Edits others are recommending. There probably should be a better way of notifying a member when edits are pending. Anyway, thank you very much for the additional information.
